As an admin of a channel that REPRESENTS DBZ, I completely agree with you. I literally don't care how many fanboys could see this and unsubscribe from me, if they can't take facts, that's their problem.

Well atleast superman and goku aren't as strong as THE REAL GOD as in Jesus and God..

Thank you for making this video. I'm in the middle of arguing with a bunch of fan boys right now making the same arguments, minus the super saiyan god one. And even I'm a fan of DBZ. But facts are facts. People want Goku to win period.

So I can make sure I have my bases covered, Goku and Superman will be broken down by several methods. 1. Death Battle: Their Goku numbers are accurate, but no one can get over their butt-hurt to understand their methodology, so I need to explain it out to everyone. 2. Power Levels: Still believe these aren't bullshit? Well, what do power-levels mean and what would Supermans power level be? 3.Straight up Feats: I'll be looking over both of them again because, believe it or not, Death Battle nerfed Superman and they nerfed him hard. 4. Misc.: Cutting the random straws of hope the fans are holding onto in the vain hope that it will beat out Superman. 5. Core of their Characters: Why did Wizard mention the difference between the stories Goku and Superman? DEATH BATTLE NUMBERS So, it appears the DBZ fanboys were so damn butt-hurt they didn't even bother to pay attention to that which they attack, "know your enemy and know yourself", Sun Tzu would be ashamed of you. Goku's stats. Strength(no Ki): 160,000 tons Durability: 34.7 sextillion megatons Speed: about 2.3 times the speed of light "But they just took Goku from the beginning of the series and used the super saiyan multipliers!!!! Gokus base was as strong as SSJ3 in his BASE!!!!!" Okay, so they should have multiplied Gokus base power by 400 then used the saiyan multipliers (the methodology and logic provided by some people.) But they didn't, They multiplied his stats by 586 (186 higher than 400) before using the saiyan multipliers. 586 came from the greatest amount of gravity Goku has ever trained under, 586 times. After accounting for the curves in Snake Way, they came up with a speed of 11,000 km/hr and after going through the multipliers, came out to 2.3 times the speed of light "Look now, Gokus speed there was just for the sake of plot and shouldn't be taken seriously and ......." Really? You wouldn't let that fly for Superman, so I won't let that fly for Goku. Especially considering that there was nothing holding Goku back. The Gero bomb was used because HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING!!!!!!! Gero studied each of Gokus battles on EARTH and built his androids and bomb based on that information. Sadly, he did not know about Gokus battles on Namek and that's why Goku came out on top there, Gero never knew about his 100x earth gravity training or his Super Saiyan form. How bout back in Dragon Ball? Cool? "Goku caught a flying dragon ball, and the dragon balls scatter at the speed of light!" Where is the proof for this statement? We've never been given any numbers or statements on the speed of the dragon balls (that I've been informed of, if you've got the info, link me), but the speed we see them move at looks to vary between about 98 to 250 mph. So Kid Goku could catch a professional fast ball or a bullet, but that is quite a bit shy of catching a speeding photon. Well, given that Bulma can walk around on it without jumping like the hulk or being crushed flat, it has the same mass as earth and given how it reacts to the destructive power that the Z fighters throw out, we can guess a similar strength/density. So lets set Namek at the same size as Earth, with a circumference of 40,075 km. Goku crossed half of that in one second, so Goku's base in DBZ (being nice here, I know he's gravity trained and zenkia'd up, it's cool for now) at 20,037.5 km/s. But light still clocks in a 299,792 km/s. So, lets push this speed all the way to GT and see how that goes. 20,037.5 *586=11741975 km/s 11741975/3e5=39.13 Base Goku in GT can blast off at almost 40 times the speed of light. 40*50=2000 2000*2=4000 4000*4=16,000 16,000*10=160,000 160,000 times the speed of light. So, Gokus maxed out possible speed Now, why didn't I use Gokus dodging feats? Well, dodging is different from traversing time and normally that would work in Gokus favor, but given how Dragon Ball ki works in EVERYTHING, that means Goku gets tipped off about an attack before it happens. So he has a slightly less reliable version of the spider sense (I say less reliable given that the Ki in other universes doesn't follow the same rules that DB Ki follows). DURABILITY AND STRENGTH/DAMAGE OUTPUT So, we've got an idea of how fast Goku can go, react, and attack. But lets talk about the off chance he gets hit. How much of a licking does it take to make him stop ticking? 657 quadrillion megatons Only takes 53 quadrillion megatons to make earth goes KABOOM. If that was Gokus output back in the saiyan Saga, then Goku could go 11,000 km/hr (or 3.06 km/s). 20,037.5/3.06=6548 times greater So, 657*6548 to get Gokus base by Namek (because that is totally his DBZ base before any thing boosts him) equals 4302169 quadrillion megatons*586*4000=1e28 megatons or about 10 octillion megatons. Now, Gokus durability sets a general ball park for absolute hardest he can strike with either a Ki blast or a standard Ki'd up physical strike (if he does some weird technique like the dragon fist, maybe double or so), this is his max before he causes himself any physical damage due to over exertion due to the connection between Ki, physical status and Mass-energy relations. Basically, if Gokus Ki is like his strength, he can't use 100% without hurting himself (much like you would if you punched with 100%. God help what ever you hit, but your bodily tissues will be in about the same shitty shape) or if it's related to the total energy that makes up his being, going beyond this limit puts Goku at risk of converting himself from a mass of matter to a mass of energy. A suicide attack. Both of these theories have some credit due to the legitimate strain pushing past his normal limits has on him, so lets say Goku pulls a Kaioken in Super Saiyan 4 and pushes to 20 times his normal limit, this would put Gokus max output from a single source at 200 octillion megatons or a double tap from something like the Dragon Fist for a grand total of 400 octillion megatons of force. But Goku will probably die from the immense strain after this attack is used. These calculations are not indicative of the spirit bombs power because its power is based on the total energy absorbed for it. "But, Omega Shenron said he could destroy the universe" I believe he said something along the lines of "he would ravage the universe", also, his character doesn't lead me to believe that he could. Omega was an omnicidal maniac who wanted nothing more than to destroy the universe. He had a moment where everyone was at his mercy and he had his chance. He didn't? Boo tried to and came damn close (granted, the Z fighters were weaker back then) but damn close here meant he could go on a rampage and their would be no one left to stop him. Basically, Omega couldn't "destroy" the universe in the same an atom bomb destroys a small forest, he would "destroy" it in the same sense 200 gallons of gas and a match would. But, I'll say this, Goku CAN destroy the universe, but not in the way people hope. Lets say Goku gathered 5% of the universes energy in the time he spent charging in GT, this leaves Goku gathering 5% of 4e69 joules 5% of the universes energy is about 4.78e52 megatons of force. At 20 times the time it took Goku to amass that energy, he'd have destroy the universe. By sapping all the energy out of it, causing it to collapse in on itself, killing him in the process. Goku would also be completely helpless while doing this 20 minute charge up, not to mention, if he survived this method, he'd still be unable to kill or even hurt superman...but more on that later. So, test time Goku stat predictions Speed: 160,000 light speed (3,200,000 times with KK x20) Durability: 10 octillion megatons (200 with KK x20, but if he does get hurt, he's much more likely to die from it. The tougher he gets, the more likely he is to die.) Output: 10-20 octillion megatons (200-400 octillion megatons with kk) or 9.5e53 megatons with the spirit bomb (nigh-useless in a real fight) Lets get on to our Second combatant Superman SPEED Now, superman has displayed immense FTL speed, insane acceleration and comparable reaction time. So here we go. Superman can easily skip on past the light barrier like it's nothing, but just what is the man of steels "max" speed? Superman travelling to Andromeda and back in a matter of hours. Care to have a number put to that? Andromeda is 2.4e19 km away from us. Lets say it took superman 6 hours to get there 2.4e19/6=4e18 4e18/3600=1.11e15 1.11e15*1000=1.11e18 m/s 1.11e18/3e8=3.7e9 Superman can go over 3.7 billion times faster than light. Superman loses his Kismet boost and fights it out with war world, but is forced to dive into the core of the sun, after short while, Superman emerges from the sun and pushes war world, Brainiac turns his thrusters on full and fires against Superman and Superman overpowers the jets. He beats the Big Bang in a show of power, all by himself. He did what Eternity or Galactus couldn't do. That means Superman was applying 4.77e57+4e70 joules= little more than 4e70 joules /4.18e15= 9.5e54 megatons, maybe more, maybe less, but Superman has a minimum 4e69 joules of fuck you to throw out after a minute (at the very most), imagine if Goku makes a real universal spirit bomb? "Ki should be magic, it's something normal people can't do" Yeah and normal people can't fly, shoot lasers out of their damn eyes. Ki has been differentiated from Magic with in the series itself. Either way, it wouldn't matter, Superman's durability comes his super strong bodily tissues and his power full bio-electrical field that surrounds his body, magic was able to by pass his force field but still had to put up with his nigh-invincible hide. Also, after some training with Zatana, superman trained his force field to stop most magics. It's a moot point, even if Ki is magic, it wouldn't make a difference. 2. "Burter said he was FTL and Goku is faster than Burter, therefore, Goku is FTL by Namek" Burter also said he was the fastest in the universe despite knowing who Frieza was, so Burter is easily a boasting frat boy. Plus, later one in the Namek Saga, Goku going full out fails to go FTL 3. "Superman can't go faster than light or he can't use his IMP" Wrong, Superman can vibrate his molecules to light speed and he picks up relativistic mass for the IMP. He can be standing still and still charge it up. 4. "Why didn't you go into detail on their other abilities, like Gokus mind reading?" You saw that power gap, right? What would be the point? Supermans heat vision is on par with his physical powers and his sense are up to the same scale as his strength. As for Goku's various other powers, his mind reading won't break Supermans barriers. 5. "The Destructo Disk can CUT ANYTHING!!!!" Couldn't cut cell's neck. Besides , there's no such thing as indestructible or unstoppable. What happens if you take a sword that can cut anything and strike a it on a shield that can stop anything? Everything is just a measure of power, if you hit hard enough, you can shatter the indestructible shield and if your're tough enough, the all cutting sword will fail to cut you. 6. "But Goku can beat gods" Ah, but not all god are equal. Amatarasu is no mach for Thor just as Orphic Zeus is no match for the Abrahamic God. Trust me, Goku could not fight Superman Prime or God/The Presense/TOAA. 7. "Why didn't Goku kill Superman when the kryptonite was there?" Because, it's all about how Goku and Superman are written as stories, Goku is a guy who trains to constantly be better tomorrow than he is today. Superman is a the story of a man living up to the image of being a god,the struggle of a human trying to never fail. Because of these core concepts, Goku can't win because he is striving to reach infinity, Superman's already there. The results weren't reached with the core concepts, the core concepts were discovered with the results.

It’s been 6 years since this video and I can’t believe people honestly try to argue against facts. Like they literally show Superman flying faster than light, show him lifting incredible weight, and using supernova level punches that can destroy planets.

I just want to add this to everyone making claims about Goku's "Instant transmission". That does not allow him to teleport anywhere he wants to go. He has to be capable of sensing someone's ki and it has to be a ki that he's familiar enough with. He cannot go somewhere without people with it. He also has a limit on how far he can sense. Remember that he had to go to Kaio's planet in order to sense New Namek and find a new Kami for the Earth because he could not sense them from the Earth itself.

I'm also mad about how the fight between Samus and Boba Fett went. Samus Should have obliterated Boba instantly, but they drug it on for no apparent reason. Space Pirate Aerotroopers are armed with missiles, energy weapons, and an armored carapace i.e. just like Boba Fett. And Samus can take many of them out in seconds.

This man knows his shit! I love goku! But he should have never been paired up to fight the Man of steel tbh. Anyways great video!

Everyone forgot a key element: If you're going to add Super Sayin God, then you have to count Superman Prime, who essentially touched God. Plus, SS4 was actually stronger than SS God form. Technically, Goku was played up so we would have a good fight. If they were totally fair, wouldn't have been as exciting. I was one of the many who believed Goku could beat Superman. After the Death battle, I realized that's just not possible.

In the manga it doesn't show how powerful the gero bomb is so it could be much more than planetary

I don't want to sound stupid from arguing but screwattack did say superman loses power when hit with powerful attacks a given advantage to goku. this match can't be accurately determind because its really a match that can have any outcome. it really boils down to who is weakened first. My only argument to the deathbattle is they underestimated goku's power. he is powerful enough to weaken superman and end him with a final death blow. but like i said anything can happen with that match. what i would really like to see is superman and goku team up. that would be really interesting

I am not sure why this battle is even considered. DBZ is completely inconsistent, much more so than all the writers for Superman put together. I mean the start of DBZ shows Vegeta blowing up a planet with minimal effort. Several arcs later, he fails to blow up an island with his ultimate attack. He has obviously "powered up" considerably through the arcs, but his ultimate attack doesn't even leave a crater. More random DBZ inconsistencies. Roshi blows up the moon in DB. Somehow, all the fights in DBZ where the characters are much stronger than Roshi do not leave craters in the Earth. First Goku vs Vegeta fight, Goku even uses Kaio-Ken. Vegeta uses his planet buster which was already shown to blow up planets. Goku overpowers Vegeta. This means Goku's wave was stronger than a planet destroying attack. Vegeta survives it. This means Vegeta already had more durability than a planet this early in DBZ. Nothing ever made sense. There is no point comparing DB characters to anything outside of the DB universe. Heck, even comparing DB characters with each other makes no sense. The laws of that universe are fucked up.

In part of the video you said it took Superman seconds to reach the Sun. Say just for the sake of argument it was 8 sec. Not that IT was but just sayin'. Calculating the c velocity comes to 63.172c. this is equivalent to just under Warp 4 in the ST-TOS Warp speed scale. my guess is Superman is capable of even greater speeds but only w/in the solar system with the energy of the yellow sun to utilize. Remember in the 1st Superman movie he created a time-warp and traveled back some hours to save Lois. This is well beyond the max speeds of any universes ships save one.

Screw attack always does a good job putting the death battles together. They also helped Goku a lot. Don't get me wrong, I like Goku, but the key assumption in giving him enough power to even be in the fight, was the power of the bomb to kill him. They decided that blowing up a planet was the right size and then they multiplied that. Goku could not win the fight, but it was a good fight. Goku would prefer to go out that way.

SSJG does not replace SSJ4 because, SSJG came before SSJ4. Plus there's no official statement anywhere of that.

The problem I had is that the screwattack team did not make a serious effort to evaluate Goku's power. After I finished watching it, I had a few questions. How much energy does it take to shake an entire planet by major earthquake levels? How much energy to completely destroy a planet with no residue remaining? How much energy to destroy a star (Cooler lamented that he should have just destroyed the Earth's Sun and been done with the whole thing)? How much energy would it take to destroy a Milky Way sized galaxy in three seconds? None of that was gone over, and yet all of those are canonical in Dragon Ball as events that happened. Instead screwattack relied on some bullshit 'this is how fast he went on snake way' to evaluate his power. Because of that, it gave an incomplete evaluation that felt more like a fanboy cop-out. I don't care who wins the fight, if you pride yourself on evaluating their feats and determining who would win a deathbattle, evaluate ALL of the major feats, even if it takes a LONG time.

Love your take on superman but my problem with your stats on goku are firstly, there is nothing stated in the manga that shows goku can only move at hypersonic speeds. Also, even if you severely underpower goku, he can at least destroy the moon not because of power levels but because piccolo destroyed the moon and goku fought evenly with piccolo in budokai. We should all keep in mind, that superman can punch *dimensions* apart. I don't think goku is *anywhere close* to that scale of destruction. I agree superman would win in a 1v1 fight, but there is one thing I personally don't think they took into account. Superman would not allow for the planet earth to be destroyed. I am almost certain that he would rather have let himself die than to destroy the earth.

Goku is powerful enough to weaken superman. It happened in the video several times they just left out goku's over aggregation until the end when goku blew up the planet and himself (which really wouldn't happen). If this was a real case senario goku would have killed superman before he realized superman was weakened by the kyrptonite or before superman ever had the chance to realize he needed to get to the sun. Although if both really had the intentions for the death match they both would have played their cards a lot better. The only thing people need to know is that everything in this fight was superman's base strength while goku had to go through several transformations. That means superman can easily keep up with all of gokus forms. However and perhaps more importantly the same power superman has at his base level is amplified 100's of time over based on how much time he spends in the sun. Hence the quote "superman is as strong as he needs to be." so even if they were at comparable levels when goku turns SSJ4. A few minutes in the sun would grossly amplify the MOS. If I may interject on this one. The sun isn't "Stronger than Goku" Goku can easily blow up the sun if he wanted. It's the heat that killed cooler. Superman unlike dragon ball z character has a body that's structured to absorb the rays of the sun. Superman in the doomsday movie was killed or put into a "healing coma" after falling from outer space with doomsday. Shadow the hedgehog survived a fall from the moon. Goku has pushed back planet busting attacks. Now if super sayian god mode was used in the fight it would have made a difference because even if the form only last for five minutes like you said. Goku would have absorbed all of the power God within his body and would have been worlds stronger than he was at the beginning of the fight in ssj as you see in the movie battle of gods when goku was able to fight with bills in ssj 1 when he couldn't even touch in in ssj 3 in the beginning of the movie. I love Superman more than any other hero or villain, but Goku would win. This video shows Superman doing things he can't actually do like predict where an enemy will appear (goku's teleporting/instant transmission) and NO Superman doesn't know how to fight. I am a fan of both these heroes....but a bigger fan of Goku.
