Don't ever buy physical gold. I owned a jewelry store for years. When you sell gold, you will get wholesale price not spot price and who will you sell it to? Not to mention it has a special tax, storage issues etc. Buy GLD the etf.
Totally disagree. GLD owns paper gold and I have no faith in COMEX, LBMA, etc. If 5% of buyers stood for delivery it would probably collapse the system. In addition since the assets are not allocated a creditor could sue GLD and get YOUR money. Physical gold as seen in equities like BAR or OUNZ, or in vaults like BullionVault, Goldmoney, etc are allocated to you, not the company. The company doesn't own the gold. It just holds it in trust for you. A creditor attack will not hurt you. Also physical gold, like cash, is anonymous. In most transactions you can go into a shop, buy $20,000 worth of gold with cash, and it leaves no trace. Meanwhile there's $20,000 in your shirt pocket and if you wanted to sell it later you could do it anonymously. Yep, storage fees, kind of clunky, and you can't pay for gas scraping gold off of a gold bar. It's called insurance. And then there's the vig as mentioned above. Ain't no way around it. A man's got to make a living. Do you think the supermarket is giving you their wholesale price? Car dealers - try to sell 'em high, buy back low.
I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio dwindle away is such an eye -sore.
There are many other interesting stocks in many industries that you might follow. You don't have to act on every forecast, so I'll suggest that you work with a financial advisor who can help you choose the best times to purchase and sell the shares or ETFs you want to acquire.

You don't buy Gold or silver for high gains you invest in them because they are true global currencies and even after the paper funny money collapses into worthlessness, they can be used to purchase goods! ! The absolute best investment? That would be land, because land can be used to grow food, you cannot eat gold or silver, and when there's no food to buy it then becomes worthless as well.
Nope, it’s only your land because the government allows you to “own” it. Previous metals have NO counterparty risk. You can always hunt or fish for land…it takes time to grow food, lots of time. You’d better know how to hunt and fish if it comes to that, and have the gear to do so.

@@BusinessWithBrian thank you for your channel. I also swing trade oil & gas Leveraged ETF: GUSH. It typically is up around the holiday & tourist seasons (May-August). While others are complaining about gas prices, you'll be counting your profits.
I bought GLD ETF and I learned that physical gold is a "collectible" under United States IRS Tax law, and the tax on gains is a whopping 28%. This makes gold as an investment very cautionary compared to equities.
And are you aware that GLD owns no gold? They are paper gold and unallocated, which means the fund owns all the paper gold. If GLD gets hit with a major lawsuit you could lose some or all of your money. With physical vehicles like BAR, OUNZ, BULLIONVAULT, GOLDMONEY, etc they are trustees holding your gold. A creditor attack would not touch your gold. Then there's counterparty risk. You're counting on someone to either settle in cash or deliver gold. How do you know the gold hasn't been rehypothecated 2 more times? Fortunately for the ethically impaired they never had to scrape together physical gold. The vast majority of contracts settle in cash. There is such a vast ocean of contracts out there every day that if 5% of buyers stood for delivery it would probably crash the system.

The eye share is gold trust is decent, it was on my initial list but I only wanted to point out one ETF in the video. And the one that I covered happened to perform better. Thanks so much for the comment
I'm not aware of any restrictions. It all has to do with supply and demand at each store that carries it. From all accounts, it sounds like they all sell out within the day they are put on the shelf.
