Credit score is not something used in all countries though. In France, they determine if you are eligible to get a loan (e.g., to buy a house) based on the ratio between your salary, your expenses and your savings. Basically, if every month you 'burn' all your money, you're perceived as riskier than someone earning less but consistently making deposits to a saving account. I feel in the US people tend to buy things they don't need with money they don't have... The only times I feel one should need a credit is when buying 'big' things (house, car, etc.). Not for a TV. I’m 26 with over 800 credit score, time was put into that to build it up by *LVRCH CAPITAL*

Yea Navy federal gave me a really high limit. I applied and was denied at first so I got a *LVRCH CAPITAL* , and I was approved for a capital one. The limit was so small lol but I took it and worked on it. Because if that it helped my credit and I believe that’s what made me finally get approved for navy fed with such a high limit. they're still working on increasing the capital one since it was so low. All in all I’m satisfied.

Equal-weighted means this fund is riskier than the S&P 500 ETF as it tilts towards smaller and value companies. RSP has a much higher standard deviation and higher worst years or max drawdowns resulting in a lower Sharpe Ratio than SPY. With Vanguard, the ETF is a separate share class of the mutual fund class. If you own VTI, you don't need to own S&P 500 or QQQ as all these companies are included in VTI. Sector funds are speculative bets and sectors are not one of the five dimensions of market returns. VIGI is the international dividend version of VIG. Semiconductor is not a sector, it is a sub-industry under the Technology sector.

I've recently decided to begin living on the more frugal side. Current strat is to invest about 55% of my income every month, and I'm glad the main ETFs in my strategy are on your list! At the moment I'm doing half in VGT for growth and half into SCHD for stability and DRIP those dividends. Looks like backtesting this, they definitely seem to balance each other very well. SCHD helps the portfolio when tech tanks, and VGT most other years is pretty explosive. Might dip a little bit into a couple other stocks I have an eye on like VICI and CP later on.
A portfolio of 10K in QQQ vs VGT held between Jan 2005 - Jul 2023 will essentially yield the same result. The slight difference 2544$ at the end is likely the result of VGT's lower fees. I don't see much point in owning both since they're so heavily correlated.

The whole talk about "reverse" market crash (real estate and stock market) basically argues that we are nowhere near done with inflation and that we might actually experience "hyperinflation" in the near future combined with accelerating poverty levels across the nation or going thru a historical economic depression...those are the extreme conditions that have produced the reverse market crashes in most examples I've seen. I personally don't see anything that extreme coming, but who knows.
Ishares / blackrock have a solid set of well performing etfs. People would do well to invest in small to midcap stocks / etfs I think that's where the clever money is going right now
I would just invest in the magnificent 7 if you really want to make money. If you want to take on less risk for less reward I would just invest in the following ETFs which are QQQM, VGT and XLK which will get you in average 20% every year

Those are very good and safe ETFs. Problem is they have such low dividends. I am still in the div building phase of my portfolio and just added TSLY, NVDY and PDI. The conservative part of the portfolio I will add those funds you mention. Kind of depends where you are in life, I am already retired so div are more important to me then growth, but i am trying to do both!
@@RB-je3yj yup, have a rental but rental property is a lot of work still. I would rather push a few buttons and make div money while i sleep. I just dont like the amount of time rentals take to keep up and the taxes are so high. Maybe if you had a ton of rentals and had a management company take care of collecting the rent, maintenance and finding tenants, it would not be that bad.

As the parent of a grown kid, I would say--for today's kids--maybe a phone around age 12, possibly younger depending on your child's maturity level. But I'd also opt for whatever controls you could have and enforce some kind of phone curfew or non-phone times--basically, work with your child to help them develop healthier screen/tech behaviors while they're growing up. I think we probably all need help with this!
That's true in so many levels. Her 11-year-old cousin got a phone, and it's causing a lot of conversations much sooner than we would have liked. I want to teach healthy habits, but I also want to limit the ability grow up too soon by getting exposure to the entire world. It's tough balance

@@BusinessWithBrianI have a 3y old, so I cannot really say. An important point is that the phone can be locked down and somewhat controlled. I do not think there is a problem with a small child like 7y and just the basic function like call and messages. There should be ways to enable parenting functionality to control stuff. The problem is social media, and stuff like tiktok, forums, and stuff like that - not the phone. The child must also show maturity like coming to you and tell you about negative experiences like bad messages and who they are in touch with. Social media is rat poison for girls, so you should never be in a position where you do not know what happens on that phone well into like 16-17y old. How? idk.
