True, I see it all the time. I watched the mixed doubles tournament yesterday. The winning team, the male kept stepping on the kitchen line and crossed into it . I understand one can hit a ball in the kitchen, but quickly step out. He did not? The losing team the male got called out on it. Seems unfair.

The ref should be watching for kitchen violations. As long as both feet are established out of the kitchen prior to hitting a volley, they could stay in the kitchen the rest of the time. They would probably lose, but it's legal.

It appears one is serving sideway? I thought it supposed to be to be under handed ?

The ball must be struck below the waist and below the wrist. Some players get very close to that, and it can be difficult to see.

I never heard that nor read that in the rules , staying in the kitchen ? You hit the ball in the kitchen, then quickly step out, not stay in there?

No rules say you need to stay out of the kitchen. I can hit every shot from there provided the ball bounces first. Only shots hit out of the air (volleys) need both feet established outside of the kitchen first.
