Todays video I am out Prospecting for Gold along the Red Deer River in Alberta. The Red Deer River is the furthest river down south that a person can still get some decent gold. The say all the Gold is from when the Glaciers melted and settled in with the gravels. Nobody knows for sure except you can dig almost anywhere on the Red Deer river and fine small flour gold. You Won't find any nuggets but hopefully you'll have fun.

Definitely more about the experience than anything else, especially when factoring in all the time, effort and expenses... though there's always that 1 in a million chance of stumbling upon a glory hole. Hell, even the California gold rush was more bust than boom for most prospectors. The easy and more consistent money, as most know, was made by those who opened shops and sold supplies and food to all the miners.

Both matts do not hold a candle to an old wool blanket . and that is on a 24 degree angle . the old timer James gibbons was spot on using it in his grizzly in the 1800s .Had an exact replica of it when A guy started out at the Devon bar prospectors point . People also make a mistake of just setting up and shoveling . Prospect prospect . Getting a gram a day can be had easily if you find a spot with a 150 or so colors to the pan

Gold Hog mats love high pressure pumps 1.5” or 2” that’s when they work the best , It just seems that your mats are underpowered, Kinks in water hose is not good either…. Thanks much for your great vids….. Enjoy your day 👍🇨🇦

lol ... I'm picturing woven reed and/or horsehair mats lining split and hollowed-out trees... set on rocks or wooden stilts. However, I'm having a hard time picturing how they could have supplied all the water required to feed a (figurative) primitive sluice... figuring out a non-labor intensive way to consistently feed in the necessary amount of water, would have been a bit challenge ;^)

Any comments on the election? Do you think elections are accurate in Canada? In the USA there seems to be disagreements on election results. Any opinion? Canadians seem to be very liberal ... but that's not what I see when I talk to Canadians.
