Great video. So to summarize, looks like you got about 2.62 grams of pure gold from about 234 grams of these purple and gold IC chips? Is that correct?
The reason the ends of the legs don't appear gold is because the solder attatching them or the socket they were in leeched the gold plating off the ends. Anywhere gold plating comes in contact with solder the solder will eventually leech nearby gold... Im stingy I'll recover solder even if it doesn't got gold leeched in. Cause apparently the markets are assuming that tin is a precious metal frim the prices they're asking
