And the smell! I can smell the chlorinated water and dampness. I found this after telling my 16 year old about how we would ride this one to get out of the heat!
Every time I went to six flags as a child, I always went on this ride and enjoyed it every time. Reading some other comments in your video are saying it’s gone for good? That’s sad. Big sad
@@swaggerpimp7092 a flood in (I think) 2018 that wiped out most of the animatronics and props, six flags was not willing to bring it back anyways since the concept wouldn’t be popular and felt like it was underrated, and bringing back the classic speelunker cave back would be more interesting than a looney tunes ride with quite sounds and boringness (which isn’t the six flags standards, they want every ride to be interesting and exciting) anyways with the new ride now open I can see more audio and more interesting stuff to look at
@@LemonGoofball A Flood happened in September 2019 destroying most of six flags and this ride, it got flooded so bad since the flood was 8 feet it destroyed the rides interior leading to the costs of the rides animatronics, so they really didn’t do anything about it. Until know where there I think trying to bring old rides, this ride used to be Speelunkers Cave a dark ride from 1967 I think to 1991 and now they might just bring it back with six flags rebrand I heard in a video if that’s a true fact.
@@SlushysSecret I remember riding both versions of this ride. I was real little when it used to be the Speelunkers Cave ride. I still remember the giant spider at the end but I didn't know about the flood causing this ride to have to be closed down. Poor Looney Tunes ride. It was another favorite of mine. Cool to hear that they're bring back the older ride. This will be really cool when I get to go again.
@@Grover1234 Actually the spider was seen somewhere in the beginning, but ya it was sad to see the looney tunes ride closed, but they are recreating the speelunkers cave! and keeping the original looney tunes ride boat! im excited to experience what you did!
Does anybody remember when they shoot the gun water hit them? It's was like a blast of air and water it made me cry so much as a kid bc that was so unexpected.
i was scared of this ride when i was younger but it still was my favorite. one time my mum and i got stuck on it for like 20-30 minuets in front of speedy. i was so annoyed but i immediately got on it and rode it again 💀
Six Flags needs a new Looney Tune ride something a bit more graphic a bit more indoor like. I am so glad they brought back the Spelunkers cave and got rid of this boring ride. It was a nice ride to cool off in,but it was boring as hell, and after seeing the Spelunkers cave the last year it was there, I always longed for it to come back.
I read the comments on here and yes I will miss this ride but guess what! The are remodeling the ride for the 60th anniversary. Speelunkers Cave! Totally new updated and state of the art. Gonna have to take a trip back to Texas for this one.
Roadrunner caught me off guard, I thought I was gonna get banged up on. and when Yosemite is shooting I thought I was gonna actually get hit by a bullet.
I rode this in the 90’s as a kid and loved it. Went back in 2013 n this ride was not taken care of at all. People had vandalized the animatronics. It was really bad. Tweety Bird’s face look melted off n the eyes were just bulged out. Everything looked like it was falling apart. I quit going to Six Flags after that. The whole park just looked very lack luster. Paint was faded on the rides, some rides were closed down due to licensing issues. There was ride that looked like bumper cars but instead of cars it was Poke-balls it was closed down Pokémon showed on the WB in the 90’s(I’m sure they lost the license). Everything just looked ransacked and rundown. I have not been back to Six Flags in Arlington for years. I wish Six Flags kept up with their parks like Disney and Universal do. I did go last year to the Six Flags in San Antonio and that park is really nice and updated.
I remember when my mom took me to six flags for my first ever time back in 2018 in September and we decided to ride this ride we had fun then that rain storm came and that was my first and last ride :/
It was damaged a year or so ago when Six Flags was flooded from some big storm. The water flood damaged the insides of the ride and it seems Six Flags has/had no interest in spending the money to repair it. Rumors of a change to the area for a new ride/attraction is coming. Hopefully a new dark ride that is elevated and flood protected!
It was announced that it was too expensive to refurbish the ride. The storm caused extensive damage, so it’s undecided what will become of the ride. Hopefully, something new will come in 2021.
@Cam Ryder because unlike Disney,Sixflags is completely run by teenagers who don't give a fuck. They're also just people who don't care but have to for the legal matters. They dont give a shit and its upsetting. I can't tell you how many rides are actually deemed unsafe because of their lack if attention.
