Garling was never an ally of roger at gw , evidence for this is roger taking off gw with baby shanks chest and loot after he defeated xebeck , i doubt a concious garling would let rpger take offlet alone be his ally, which means garling likely got incapacitated during the days gw took place over. There is no statement or panel that showcases rocks pirates mutiny during gw, not a one the fact they were there under xebeck flag following him showcases that during gw no mutiny happened, not only that but they were stated as getting wiped by roger and garp joining forces. @@Lineage4you2 lol all we know is sengoku’s account for the story who was not at God Valley. I don’t think it is as straightforward as you say it is. Obviously I have read the chapters you mentioned, but they obviously don’t reveal the entire truth. We just know the “gist” of God Valley if you will. Also what else do you think Garling was doing during GW. He may have gotten incapacitated mid battle, but it is obvious to me he was at the side of the celestial dragons, and Sengoku said Garp and Roger joined forces to protect the celestial dragons(now I hope you see why I believe Sengoku’s account is only the narrative, Garp and Roger wouldn’t save celestial dragons, rather they were probably taking down Rocks who was threatening something massive). I can only see Garling being against Rocks, he was at God Valley so he definitely fought, but he could have been defeated and if so I think it makes sense that happened in a fight with Rocks, but only time will tell.
I do think legends and rumors greatly exaggerate people's expectations of how strong they are. My general rule of thumb is "There's probably someone stronger or there is probably some 1 in a million niche counter that they have that makes them look weak." When speaking on "The Strongest in the World" nobody considers those who are unknown to most of the world.
We actually didn't see Roger's full strength and in his prime. The Roger that we see so far was sick and post-God Valley going to Laugh Tale. Yet, he fought with these high caliber of opponents within the stretch of the journey with a handicap. That's incredibly impressive. As great as the allure of JoyBoy, we don't know how strong his opponents are. All we know is JoyBoy fought the collective of armies from the Twenty Kings. Despite the Nika abilities and his Haki comparable to Shanks, he lost. And since Roger's era, the World Government has gotten stronger yet they couldn't bring Rocks Pirates by themselves, they couldn't bring down the Yonkos by themselves and haven't conquer the entire world. Roger's opponents are strong enough to destroy armies all by themselves. So, unless we see more discoveries of JoyBoy's battles and his strength (Imu as well)... I can't say they're stronger than Roger right now. In my personal opinion.
Joyboy saving Haki for hundreds of years and it still having the potency to blow one of the Gorosei who themselves have monstrous Haki is the greatest Haki potency feat in the story right now.

Good video, but one thing you got wrong around the 9:50 is that you said rayleigh's haki couldn't knock out the heart pirates. Conqueror haki users can select targets (for example, usop and nami were unaffected by the same haki that shook the gorosei)
Roger was One of the most powerful characters in one piece and the first Pirate King who conquered all Seas but that didn't mean he was the strongest character in one piece but one of the strongest.

Garp on vacation was called up by Kong about Roger heading to God Valley when he previously was not interested in anyone else's involvement, including the rocks pirates! Kong needed Garp and used Roger's imminent arrival as a means to force Garp to show because he knew Garp can't resist confronting Roger! But to say that Roger needed to team up with Garp just to beat the rocks pirates and specifically rocks himself is such disingenuous schlock!

We have seen Garp show up on god valley with no name marines and (possibly) Bogard, Garp has also been said to clash with the pirate king and corner him many times, Garp more than likely would be chasing down and fighting the pirate king CREW and not just roger alone, as we have seen with Garp on god valley where he pulled up basically alone with a some no name marines (who probably just went to sleep after conquerors haki was unleashed)

nah, i disagree, it may be that imu has some serious hax abilities but in raw power (haki and swordmanship) is still on top. He was stronger or atleast on par with primebeard with mastery of the gura-gura no mi, which greatly enhanced WB's raw strength. For the sake of the plot, and this being luffy's story not roger's, luffy, imu and maybe even garling will be stronger at the end of one piece.
Imu will obviously be stronger, he has 5 elders under his control, and is definitely stronger than all 5 combined, and I don’t think anyone apart from like joyboy can solo 5 elders(with Garling now!)

I doubt Roger would be able to 1v1 Elders or The Giants. Ory and broggy are among the Strongest figthers in the series and Topman is more resistant than Kaido .
Probably not the elders, but definitely the giants(unless we meet someone very very strong in elbaf). I mean dory and Broggy are strong but pirate king haki is over powered. Also elbaf is considered Shanks territory, so unless Shanks is stronger than everyone in elbaf, why would they let him claim elbaf as a territory? And of course roger>shanks.

I find it so annoying that Garp was on Scale with Rodgers 20 years ago with only Haki but never refined or progressed his Haki to the scale he can manifest physical objects from pure Haki = road ponigliff and straw hats or pure Haki weapons born of sheer will . The only thing he would of trained Luffy in was Haki from a young age but Luffy had no knowledge of it even tho Garp must of been using it to cause physical damage with his love punches to Luffy after he ate the devil fruit .

Roger might not be the strongest of all time but he might´ve been some kind of "full package" - an fighting allround talent. And in the end - thanks to plot armour - Luffy will even surpass Roger. and for Imu and JoyBoy: until now we don´t know much about the power and strength of Imu. it could just be his ridicilously overpowered "Devil Fruit"-abilities. but how will he hold himself up in a real bareknuckle brawl? yet alone against a rubber boy with a near limitless will power? and about Joyboy? well, we don´t know much about him apart from him being defeated and dead, which could´ve been due to betrayal by his friends and allies. and is his Haki really that strong? maybe it got artificially powered up by the "knot", which stored that Haki inside Emeth for 8 centuries. in this case i always think about the Dials of Skypiea, who could store powers themselves and - if i´m not mistaken - even release an higher output than the initially input. and even if Joyboy was literally the "One Punch Man" of the One Piece World, it didn´t help him at all just like the "Sukuna-equivalent" Imu will get b*tch slapped by Luffy in the end.

They are probably equal, even if we consider them to having same Haki, and whitebeard df a differentiator, I think since Roger has the will of D, plus voice of all things, he is not going to ever lose to whitebeard even if he is slightly physically weaker. Consider, the Roger and Shiki encounter, he was heavily outnumbered but his fate made him win. His fate would always find him a way to win, or at least not lose. After all he is the joyboy of his generation.

Yes, these are all end-game characters of the new generation, which has been stated repeatedly to be the strongest. Imu, Rocks, Joy-Boy don't need an explanation. Kaido was strong enough to be a Rocks pirate as a kid... This is a prime version with a DF... Shanks is literally the new Roger and most certainly the strongest of the new Era... Mihawk is his equivalent, So... Luffy doesn't need an explanation he has stamina issues, but those obviously won't last. Fleet Akainu ( The strongest marine in history) directly puts him above Garp, who is supposedly equal to Roger... And kuzan fought that same man for 10 days straight they're essentially yin and yangs putting them both above Roger.

He landed two clean hits, one of them being a sneak attack and still wasn't able to put down Sakazuki. Now let's talk about Kaido, who's currently cooking in a magma pit at the bottom of a volcano. Who has an awakening that can spawn volcanoes? Or better yet controls magma? There's a reason when we saw Akainu when Oda revealed the contenders for the one piece as we enter the final saga.
