Great Interview, Bald Guy! I've been following Schiff for 12 years - even attended a discussion he led about 10 years ago. Question: despite Schiff saying the Fed has no "Plan B" - do you think there will come a time (when the dollar crash is in progress), where the Fed would FAVOR revaluing the price of Gold Heavily Upwards (say $50,000) in an attempt to use USG Gold Holdings (assuming we have any left!) on the books to help balance away the Debt? (Scott, ret CIA officer)
And if gold is going to be 'repriced' much higher, there's a GOOD bet silver will take that ride also. People, with all that's happening geopolically, the masses will be turning to gold AND silver IMO.
@@AMP98765 I think that a lot of that depends on how much additional spending is piled on at the national level. The Fed cannot control inflation, even if they want to, with such massive government spending occurring. Also think that whatever gold prices do, facing that storm with gold in our hands is going to make life a lot easier than trying to get through that time without gold in our hands. Not that we won't have some bumps and bruises along the way in this but that's a lot better than the financial destruction and desperation that many people will be facing.

Ultimately the US will have to devalue the dollar and gold will be re-priced at a very high price (like 20K or even 40K). But in the short term the price is being manipulated, so feds could raise rates and there could be a dip, feds could lower rates and price will go up.
Could be but consider that war can take many forms... military, of course, but also economic, social, cyber, spiritual, and cultural. We do indeed live in interesting times and it looks as if they are about to get even more interesting in the near future.

Could not the US government be buying gold and just not saying anything about it. I would not put anything past them. The Federal Reserve will not even tell us which banks are going under. The last I heard a banker was saying one to two Banks a week we're going under this is insane. But they won't tell you what banks are in trouble because they don't want you to go get your cash out of that bank I myself just keeping enough cash in the bank to pay my bills everything else comes out.
A couple of congressmen are trying to pass through a bill that would take away all capital gains on bullion or coin on Silver and Gold help support this bill by calling your own Congressman whoever that may be in your state and tell them you want sound money again gold and silver it's constitutional and that's the only thing that can have a chance to keep up with any of this inflation that the Federal Reserve has created themselves. The Federal Reserve does not want anything to compete with their Fiat so please call email or text your Congress people in your state and tell him you would like this bill to be passed.

The monetary system has evolved over the years, ( but not by natural forces, rather by the designs of bankers, who profit by their manipulations) Therefore, what you are experiencing today is not what it was in 1940, or in 1900 or in 1860 etc etc. It is important to keep this thought in mind. That the currency system is still in a state of flux, ever further manipulated to advantage the banker and disadvantage further (steal from ) the ignorant common man. 99% of the people, and we dont understand this at first, or the extent to which monetary practices have evolved to steal from us, because in our minds we work for money, our parents worked for money and so did our grandparents, so isn't it all pretty much the same with a little bit of inflation ? Hell no ! And because monetary principles can't be seen with our eyes, they are abstracts and hard to get our heads around, they are a completely separate topic to practical daily living, yet they effect our daily life totally. The first principle to understand is that you have been robbed of real money by successive bankers, because the whole idea of 'Money ' is to hold something of real value as your own property, and to receive something of real value for your labour and productivity. But you get nothing, you get zero of value. You get paper, or plastic or electrons for your work and efforts. You have been hood winked by slight of hand and mind. Your forefathers were paid in real money, but the bankers were limited in what they could loan out by metalic money, so they sought to do away with it, and they invented the promissory note, the 'bank note' which promised to be redeemable for a Silver or Gold coin. They did this to remove the natural restriction on what they could loan out, because new debt at interest is their primary tool of harvest. Then, gradually, they removed the metal altogether, telling you it was for your own good, because now you could have a booming economy and more commerce, and no limitation on how many hours both you and your partner could work . (The 'full employment' mandate simply means you all shall work all of the time until you die, but in the 1700s 6 months work would keep you alive all year if you owned your land. ) Once they had the Exclusive note printing power, they went to town, printing any amount their bought servants in government wanted, creating the national debt, whereby an unborn child is born in servitude and serfdom to an now $80,000 to $ 150,000 debt to who ? That would be the share holders of the Federal Reserve if you live in the United States, or the Central Bank in your country, and also the large private banks, for once government abrogated the currency creation power to both the Central and large private banks, they must then go cap in hand to the banks to build new public infrastructure. So now every county, state and nation has indebted their ' citizens' in totally unpayable debts to the currency creators. Meanwhile after Bretton Woods the Federal Reserve sent its agents around the world to ensure that all Central banks were created in its own image, doing exactly what it does, so no one shows them up, even though quite a few Central banks are not privately owned like the Federal Reserve is. So that's a small taste on the first faulty monetary principle and that's before we talk about the interest on the new worthless currency that they create for zero cost.

Deficits - not a problem, until they are, and then they will become an incredibly serious, if not terrible national disaster. People will wonder how this could happen but it is clear that this will happen because of the lack of national will to live within our means. I find this very odd because I have lived within my means all my life and have seen quite a few other people doing the very same thing. Except for a small but noisy minority, this is actually quite common. Bracing for impact as the US$ crashes is a helluva lousy financial strategy... and it's one of the worst possible responses we could have. Agree that the time to "fix" this was long ago and that we have squandered that most precious of commodities, time, in which to repair the damage that spendthrift politicians have created and that it is the voters demanding this largesse that has prevented any sort of meaningful correction. We can't prevent politicians from spending but we can vote some of them out of office. That's marginal because the new politicians may be just as bad, if not worse, but any help at this point is better than none. Mining stocks can be seen as a derivative of the metals mined. This gives them leverage but leverage is fickle and is a very sharp knife that can cut both ways. At my age, 74, I see mining stocks as simply more risk than I am willing to take on. I need capital preservation a lot more than I need more growth of capital. Because of this, physical gold is the right place for me to be. If I had 2 or 3 more decades of life ahead of me, I'd look more closely at the mining shares.
The brics nations probably are gonna back their currencies with gold. If they manage to do that, all they had to do to destroy the dollar is say ,"WE DON'T ACCEPT YOUR MONEY FOR OUR GOODS", then the dollar which is not backed by anything and only exist by the trust put in it will collapse. If this happens I hope not too soon as I have all my money in dollars in banks.
One "expert " says that Chinas economy is going bust, and another " expert" says boom. My guess is the later...Yellin went to China to beg them not to over produce! Brics is going to forge their new currency any day now!
I get what you're saying but once we bailed out the banks and massive corporations due to the GFC that was the end for me. I lost like a half million on blue chips! I went into metals ever since and have more then doubled my investment. I have studied what happened and why and went down that rabbit hole. I probably have an equivalent PHD in economics and government fiat money printing. Probably gold will 5 to 8x from here and silver is going to hit its mean on the G/S ratio at triple digits.

I also get what you are saying but financial history shows that bailing out of your investments at or near the bottom is a HUGE mistake. Not only does this convert paper losses into real losses but it also means that you are likely to not find a good re-entry point to enjoy the correction that follows. Like you, I "lost" a lot of money on paper but unlike you I continued to invest, buying as many cheap shares as I could. As John Bogle used to tell us, "stay the course". Bogle knew that markets would come and go and that time IN the market was much more important than trying to "time the market", pretty much a hopeless task. Anyway, I did that in 2000-02, and in 2007-08, and finally in 2020. I made a lot of money all 3 time but especially in 2020. I am sorry to see anyone lose money in the market or anywhere really, but much depends on *how* we invest, not just in what we invest. Will a day come when the markets do not recover? Perhaps but that's not the best bet one can make considering financial history. That said, I also stack PMs, which are my financial investment and inflation hedges. It's nice to be diversified across multiple asset classes and to not have to worry about a single asset class or two doing poorly. Holding some cash is also good in that it can be used to scoop up bargains and for living expenses such that one does not have to sell any depreciated assets to fund their life. Yes, I am retired and have been for almost 20 years, so that does color my outlook on this. A younger person with more time to recover from market drops might well look at this differently. In fact, age is a primary consideration in investing so it is appropriate to consider it when investing.
BTC is created by the deep state and all the money collected by selling it now is in their possession and they deposit all these money in stocks, bonds etc. The profit what they make goes to the Media to brain wash the sheeps. Since 2010, during last 14 years after 2008 crisis central banks bought 7895 tons of gold ( suppose as in poker.... USA posess 8000tons/ no audits of this since 70 years). Each year banks was buying on average 564 tons. During 1st quarter of 2024 they bought 290 tons, so there will be the next over 1000 tons of gold in 2024 to buy by banks.
Yes i have learnt everything about gold by listening to luminaries like Peter and Mike Maloney and Evon Von Greyus, spelt wrong, etc. and basically there is nothing to lose and everything to gain as far as i was concerned; over a few years i went all in on gold and i have not been disappointed and you won't be either, you can't lose, basically, its a hedge and investment, go for it before its too late and the price is beyond your reàch!🎉🎉🎉

It’s easy to predict that gold will rise against USD and other fiat currency. I think the BTC to Gold ratio is more interesting. Right now 1 BTC buys about 28 oz of gold. At the top of the current BTC cycle sometime next year I wouldn’t be surprised to see a ratio of 1 BTC = 60 oz of gold and sometime in 2026 1 BTC = 15 to 20 oz. Would love to see a video on how you would play this arbitrage.
Buying the miners seems to be more motivated by greed, as those who buy are hoping for a ten bagger or better. Conversely, buying the raw metals, gold & silver, is based more on a fear mindset, wealth preservation. Raw metals won't do a 10x, maybe only a 2 or 3x, but the chance of an outright loss from buying metals is very slim indeed. If the coming crash, or recession is bad enough, the fear mindset will prevail over greed, at least as far as the amateur investor is concerned. But seasoned, well financed investors/ speculators, will take advantage of the greed trade.

I lost thousands of dollars with GLDG and Blue Lagoon mining, nothing but pump and dump in my opinion. These miners should be investigated in my opinion. The youtubers should also be accountable for shilling them.

I just sold my Position in GLDG last week, I held through the down turn and Sold it off for a $7 Profit. Was it the best return on my money....No.... but I held on and that patience paid off in the fact that I didn't loose any. If you lost money then you weren't patient enough. Time in the Market always wins over Timing the Market.
US Federal Reserve situation is "getting out of hand" - I think that scenario is in the rear view mirror a few exits back. We're on the path of another "reset" - hopefully back to the gold standard.
