Liverpool spent like 250 million from 2019. Man Utd spent like 600+ million. It hugely depends on the manager and recruitment. Not much on spendings. Chelsea was a wonder when they did it, hence they had the success. It will be hard to repeat it with other clubs.

Ten Hag was given the budget to spend on who he wants. Nobody forced him to go after absolute dross like Antony for huge fees. He has been backed in the transfer market for the 'major surgery' that Ragnick said the squad required but completely wasted the money.

we are not getting into Top 10 mate if Erik stays. I can't see teams above Man Utd dropping points as easily as Man Utd does and they are far better managed teams than Man Utd.

@@info0 Just seven games have been played, 3 of which were tough fixtures and based on form of previous season some would say even Selhurst Park was a tough one. We will move up for sure. However, it's going to be really close which is also more reason not to disrupt with an inexperienced interim manager or even a new manager who will have no chance to bring in their players.

@@anirbanhazra5864 you don't need to bring in new players. Where did this myth came from? I would give this job to Thomas Frank in a heart beat if I were Man Utd and INEOS. Guy has proven he is tactically sound. He has to be, because he works in a team with smallest wage budget in the league. If you can't compete with teams financially and buy players, you have to beat them, outsmarting the opposition tactically. Pep was lauding Thomas with praises after every Man City game vs Brentford. Remember he is one of the only few managers to do double on Pep in the league... Tuchel is no good. He will bring in toxicity we don''t need.

@@info0 I also do not want or like Tuchel. I also would not choose Thomas Frank. Brentford finished with 21 points behind us in one of our worst seasons. It is easy for managers of smaller clubs to look good because all you need are a few big results against the top clubs to get the praises. I am not saying he is bad, I am saying handling United is a different Beast altogether. At top clubs, two or three draws in a row, let alone defeats and you will have fans calling for your head no matter how well you played.
