Golden Bear Theatre Being REMOVED at Six Flags Magic Mountain!! New Coaster in 2025? 

As a person that’s been going to Magic Mountain for the last 30 yrs, I don’t want to see anything but a GIGA!

I think the best for for the park is either a normal spinner or an extreme spinner. I think eventually Magic Mountain will get a giga, but not in the Golden Bear plot of land. Right now, the lineup is really missing a spinning coaster. I guess, technically, X2 is a spinning coaster, but I'm thinking of something a little more traditional.

The Golden Bear Theater helped to put Magic Mountain on the map. It's time has come and gone. I'm excited to see what Magic Mountain does with this space. Hopefully it's something big.

No matter what they build, as long as it runs through the loop of Full Throttle, it'll be cool in my book. They could go so many ways with a new coaster. Part of me wants it to go up and over the mountain so there can be a footer right in the middle of Gold Rusher's final helix or have some kind of high turnaround right near Crazanity's highest point in its swing. (Admittedly, that's because I am a ride interaction freak.) We'll just have to stay tuned.

Mack Extreme Spin please, doesn't need to be 300ft but make it better than Ride to Happiness and it's a mega win.

I feel old because I went on tidal wave shortly after it opened, which was’89. Was bummed to see it go but not surprised; know lot of people got hurt on the bridge when water hit.

The fact that the park itself keeps teasing a giga has got to mean something. In 2025, their new ride will compete directly with Fast amd Furious at Universal, sure to be the best coaster in California, no competition.....unless....giga!!

The best show they ever had there was Puppet Show and Spinal Tap.

I think a B&M Wing or a MACK X-Treme Spinner would be perfect. Just imagine riding Full Throttle or Superman and seeing either a Corkscrew over Superman's launch or a wing coaster's 0 g roll through full throttle's loop

I saw several concerts there during the late 80s till 2001 with the last being The Offspring and Wheezer playing there that I went to and seeing other shows like Weird Al in 94 and a couple of other 80s bands... I still think the whole how about a giga thing is a joke and is going to be the Observation Tower as it is over 300' tall! I could definitely see an extreme spinner going in as they are really popular right now and rides like Timetraveler and the absolutely amazing Ride to Happiness...they are great rides and would fit right in. I know it WONT happen...but Magic Mountain could also really use a stepping stone up from Bugs Bunny Land to the bigger coasters with something like a big good family coaster like Big Bear Mountain at Dollywood. For kids its a big jump up from those kiddie coasters to Goldrusher and Revolution!

I hope they can keep the front of the building for a sation or some other purpose.

I was working the night the riot happened. I was so scared and hid in the trees by revolution. To hear the screams and destruction was CRAZY! Would love to RMC Giga! Just need to sit back and wait for an announcement!

A B&M giga?? One with multiple air time hills would be awesome like Mako in Florida!

B&M Giga will more likely be coming to the Magic Mountain since the Six Flags will be with Cedar Fair in the near new year.

I love roller coasters and I would love to see an awesome roller coaster go there, but not now. Not for a while. This park is so horribly run they can’t even take care of the roller coasters that they have. They can’t even staff the rides that they have. Maybe a nice flat ride, a family area. Start concentrating on better service, better food, and some shows…..WITH SHADE 🤣

Intamin and Six Flags are working together again bc of the Ultra Surf... the merger better not cause a rift in their new relationship...theres hope for the Intamin giga hopefully. That would be my absolute DREAM. The only thing imo that could outbeat Hollywood Drift in Cali is another newgen Intamin imo, but I'm Intamin biased lol😂💙

Nawww, I don't think they will build a giga any time soon, they come with a hefty price tag so they are not trying to spend that kind of money, if they do decide on a coaster, maybe a dive coaster since there seems to be none on the west coast. I don't think they will get anything major. They need to work on cleaning the park up first and foremost.

I miss that big ass fake tree that used to be around there back in the day.

MM needs to be cleaned up & made to look less like a dead mall. It probably needs that as much as, or maybe even more than, it needs another coaster. Because MM is already so tilted towards spin-&-puke rides, its potential customer base is narrower. However, I don't have details of the park's attendance figures & revenues from guests. The marketing of (& economics of features like) the Golden Bear Theater are also unknown. Six Flags pouring more money into live shows, dark rides & better looks may have no better returns than adding another coaster. Either way, its concrete walkways are often overly wide for the number of visitors MM attracts per day or per month.

Instead of a coaster, how about another water ride...a Log Jammer version.
