The sad thing is that he couldve been the one to take down Homelander. The suit that was designed for him was made to withstand the intensity of his fire which is about three to four times hotter than HLs lasers. He could've tanked those laser blasts like they were nothing. Its a damn shame.
@@half.blight we don't know that for sure. And unfortunately we never will.... But if it's any consolation. If butcher can take HLs punches chances are other people can. Thing I noticed with HL is that he relies so much on his lasers that he only has standard strength. Dudes got no muscle. His suit is completely padded.
@@Ice-tc5vn Then people don't understand how heat works, even the hottest flame takes time to reduce something to ash. Especially on a Super who exploded from the condensed heat built up inside a human body composed of 60% water. Heck this is the reason he got caught to begin with, he couldn't burn that guy to ashes fast enough
@@zoned7609 No, as in it would be a black and bloody goop. There wouldn't be any pieces of flesh and it most certainly won't look anything like flesh. Think more black ash and goop.
Those people recording this on their phones had a very bad sense of self-preservation. When things start looking dangerous on that level, you get out of the line of fire.
Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross. Repent and believe in him or you will be separated from God The Father for all eternity and face hell forever, for all eternity, never ending.
@@HKNative217 No it doesn't, I've been searching for it for a while now and I can't find it. Edit : managed to find it for those still looking for it : The track is called "flashpoint".
Honestly I just really love that they let him just, y'know, be a good guy? Especially with the flashbacks later on, it felt like such an easy cop-out to be like "oh yeah look at all the sleazy, horrible stuff this guy was up to, good riddance now, right?" It's what the comics would've done, and frankly with how dire and depressing the main show can feel at times, I'm really glad they didn't.
Not gonna lie, but at the end, i was actually kinda expecting for GB to just extinguish his flame and fall to his death till he went kaput. Anyone else kinda think he was gonna extinguish his flame and fall, or is that just me?
@@TinyShaman I feel like if he had done it that way, it'd have been more agonizing for the other characters he was pissed off at because then, not only had they led him to off himself, but now he'd have been literally splattered right in front of them
What is sad is that Golden Boy was the only decent character. The rest was just bland and one dimensional. And later on the characters had the nerve to wonder why Golden Boy killed himself when he found out everything was a lie, was constantly tortured, and his girlfriend cucked him with his best friend. GB killed himself to free himself from the torment, he realized nobody was going to help him.
I think he was just tired of it all the complications that come with having powers and probably just wanted to be a normal guy. If he had been he wouldn't have had so many people involved in his life, it kinda sucks being known and always having people watching you wanting from you and wondering what you're doing all the time.
Actually he got mad cuz he was being mind crolled all the time to forget about his kidnapped brother and he knew Vought was lying. And when he saw the other were recording him,he knew he's be kidnapped by Vought too,so he commited suicide.
Tired of it all, yes, but not for the reasons you stated. he got tired of it all because he just kept getting screwed over & over by the people he trusted & loved, all of whom used him to further their own agendas. his attempt to right things ended up only making things worse for himself, with the way forward either being screwed over yet again & fall from grace, or turn into a villain by covering up his shit. he could no longer be a hero yet not wanting to become a villain, & his powers & fame also meant that he couldn't just retire, hence the going out with a bang.
Everyone in the comments talking about gore lol, its The Boys bruh, and how exactly do people think it would be in real life, there would be blood and guts everywhere. Real life things have blood, and lots of it.
This is the one big thing I didn’t like about this show. They had to kill him off and Chance Perdomo sadly passed away in real life. So now we have no badass character. Obviously they couldn’t prevent his death but it sucks.
@@meep9963 I guess my point is, Golden Boy and Andre were my 2 favorite characters that I was most excited to see. And they killed Golden Boy off for the plot and then the actor who plays Andre died in real life.
If supes were real i would find the most remote place to live where they would never ever get near me... Those people that film and record them have ZERO survival instincts
But isn’t the point of gen V to show how the program of Sups was flawed to bring out any mental health problems so vault could purge or experiment but as well so vault could choose best most controllable candidates to be sups remember vault rented out sups like a mascots to cities
Knowing what I know now after watching the whole season, I can’t say I blame Luke for killing himself. To have your mind wiped over and over again, let alone to forget your brother, who you thought was dead for several years is in fact still alive, would fuck up anyone.
He was considerate. 1. If no one saw him do it, there would be search parties. (Flying to a desert or space or something) 2. Inside? Whole building would be destroyed. 3. No one got hurt. (Kinda)
To be fair, I think he assumed he was gonna be totally obliterated. Like didn't have any sanity left to realize the possibility he'll turn into bloody rain, instead of fried dust.

Watching this show for the first time. Know nothing. The second I saw the scene where brink shows him his new suit I’m like “oh yeah that boy dead” and I was right😭
I mean, we see a big blinding light and the body parts fall, I know its cope but what if this was Cate manipulating everyone's memories again and the body was someone else?
That's how suicide works, sadly. Even in real life, it's often a spontaneous, single-moment decision that the person does without warning or forethought! That's why all those measures you see, like guardrails on bridges, or mandatory hour-long waiting periods to buy a firearm, save so many lives! Those few minutes are all it takes for someone to suddenly decide to change their mind! And yes, I know you might be joking (I can't tell), but yes, it adds far more to the realistic horror for him to do it then and there at a moment's notice (like anyone who lost someone to suicide will tell you - *I* thankfully have only heard such stories secondhand and never experienced a close friend or family member committing such an act)!
I thought he was just gonna drop and die from impacting the ground with just silence after that. This is just hilariously over the top. Not gonna watch it though.
We don’t know If It’d get Hot Enough to burn through Luke’s Hafnium carbide Armor, And Luke definitely has the Training and Strength to land a Few and make Homelander hurt. More if Sam’s blood and a Cocktail of V was amping him up.
Ugh, they just can't help themselves. The undercut the tone of the scene by adding unnecessary gore. I'm not against it, but geez man it doesn't need to be every 3 minutes.
He doesn't care! That's the point! That's how suicide works! The person basically feels like they're wandering around in the pitch black with no hope of ever finding light again - or even if there is hope they might find it one day, they're so miserable imagining the agony of searching for it that they just want to end the misery! (Spoiler alert from here on out for those who have yet to watch the series) ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Ok, you've all been warned! Realizing entire major swaths of his memory were completely wiped, that the people he trusted and admired the most were the ones responsible for doing that, and that his brother was being kept from him and held by those very same people - who were horribly torturing his brother in the process - and that there was nothing he could really do to stop them? I don't know what else to say besides, having read that sentence, do you understand now why he completely snapped and began acting impulsively and irrationally? You're right! What he did didn't fix any of that, because he had *no clue* how in the world *to* fix any of that (especially with so much of his memory wiped and having no clue what's even real and what isn't - let alone who he can go to to find out, given the only people he trusts are either locked away or responsible for the horrible things that are making him feel this way)! Again, that's why he just snapped and killed the guy who was so horrible as to do all that to him - and then, realizing the absolute mess that had been created with that action, and realizing his attempts to "clean it up" (by trying to kill Marie for witnessing it, then trying to kill Jordan for trying to stop him, ultimately forcing his best friend to step in after he had done all of this in front of dozens of witnesses with cameras) were only making things worse, he basically decided he had no idea how to fix anything, that he couldn't make things better and would likely only make things even worse by trying to, and he decided he didn't want to live anymore and go through that pain and ended his own misery right then and there! Welcome to a crash course on how suicide often works! This may be the most realistic portrayal of the psychological process that leads to it that I've ever seen on TV.
@@deleonrikkie No, it means he's desperate and afraid! What he's *trying* to accomplish is getting his brother back! He knows it's a long shot, but again, he's *desperate* and willing to do anything!
@@mazdakmina9493 um he will never get his brother back once he kills himself? I don't get these people. There's always a solution for everything. How does killing himself get his brother back? Wasn't that his goal or sumn?
@jyn9192 You really have no idea how being suicidal works, do you? 🤬🤬🤬 Be thankful you've never had to understand what is going through the mind of someone who is suicidal!
