The weird thing about this is that it implies that Johnny Depp exists in this world, and so did his marriage to Amber Heard. Amber Heard, who famously plays in the movie Aquaman. So... It's the characters mainly. The quality of the story, satire, worldbuilding and how Vought is still shown to be the main causing of everything bad that happens is carried on from The Boys but none of the main characters are as compelling as Butcher, Soldier Boy, Hughie or Homelander. It wasn't a dumpster fire though, most spinoffs turn to trash but this one has good feet to stand on

Spoilers for gen v: After watching the show, he's legitimately scarier than Homelander. The scariest villain of The Boys. They took one of the non-evil Supes and made him the most evil. Before wathcing the shoe, i thought he was a good guy and the atudents were evil. Hes still scary but still. Nah.
