The legendary Dutch Rock band who are known mostly for their immortal seventies hit Radar Love should have been rewarded with more success outside of their native Holland. The line up of Barry Hay (Vocals/Flute/2nd guitar), Rinus Gerritsen (Bass), Cesar Zuiderwijk (Drums) and George Kooymans (Guitar/Vocals) had been together since 1970 after Cesar joined the band from highly rated Dutch Blues band Livin Blues, and yet they still delivered regular quality album output and toured regularly. Sadly, at the beginning of 2021, George was forced to quit playing with the band due to ALS, and the band were forced to call it a day for good. I was very fortunate to see the band in Den Haag in 1989 and was given VIP treatment (Picked up in a limo by the Manager i.e. Rinus' brother, plus had dinner with the band pre-gig and joined them after the gig). One of the most unforgettable concerts I had been to.
