In this demo, I attempt to capture the majesty of the Grand Canyon at Golden Hour along the South Kaibab Trail. The challenge was to organize and group all the intricate crevices into interesting, interconnected light and dark shapes and masses!
I am painting on a 4"x8" Crescent Coldpress Illustration Board. I am using a 1" synthetic watercolor brush and size 12 synthetic watercolor round brush. All paints are Winsor and Newton Designer Gouache.
