ABOUT CVATIK
Steve Gindler is 28 year old portrait photographer from Northern New Jersey. His Instagram handle (@cvatik) is his Russian name spelled phonetically in English.
Steve shoots exclusively in natural light: no flash or added light of any sort. Shooting in natural light can be limiting but these limits can also present great opportunities for creativity.
It was golden hour, which usually provides beautiful/even golden lighting suitable for portraits. But on this day, there was no cloud cover so the light was still pretty harsh. It created harsh shadows on Jess’ face. So Steve had to run around a lot to get angles that would block out some of the light.
