I'm glad these are out on YT/Spotify now, because now I don't need to bring my entire laptop out with me when I go for a walk just so I can run the game to listen to them. Which of course I never did. Not once.
Thank you 🤍 I am very grateful for your kind words, it really means a lot to me knowing the players have resonated so much with the vision I had for the soundtrack 🤍 Especially with Lemurian Vampire, as the Monkey Paw Island was a brand new world, that needed its own signature sound, tribal, but not entirely, with more abstract elements, and yet still resemble the original ost. Also, it was so cool working on same music tracks but for different timelines, I feel the transitions turned out pretty smooth 🔥 In overall - so glad you enjoyed it :)
@@KyleMisko The Lemurian Vampire DLC soundtrack is for sure my favorite you've made. It's so unique and feels very different from the base game, with the tribal beats and more background base (so nice to just have super high volume on good headphones and float away to it ♥) it feels like For sure too that you got the transitions smooth. I feel like it's so easy to listen to the album on shuffle without it being hard in any way, it's very atmospheric and soft Seems like it must be so fun to create music where you have to do some research to figure out the sound you'll go for Thank you! hope to see more stuff from you in the future ❣
I know its a delayed response, and I do apologise as life has been quite hectic the past couple of weeks, but I wanted to respond properly and say that I extremely appreciate your comment here, like a lot! 🙏 Everything you describe is in many ways what I was trying to accomplish.. there weren't any references of other soundtracks that I was given when working on this DLC, and I was basically allowed the creative freedom to explore the sound for Lemurian Vampire.. and so this tribal & abstract ambiental elements are something I intuitively came to after learning about the inspiration behind Monkey Paw Island.. Also was so happy to read regarding your comment regarding the 'turning it up in headphones and floating away'.. that's really awesome 🔥🔥🔥 And its equally great to hear that you found it soft and atmospheric to listen to on shuffle! Definitely one of the best parts of my work is to explore the soundtrack for a project, and I am so honoured to have been part of this series and able to partly contribute to what it is today ❤️ Really appreciate your kind support, and definitely stay tuned as I share most recent tracks from other projects on this RU-vid channel! I think if you enjoyed my tracks from Golden Idol - you'll love my other stuff too! I So don't shy away from less familiar titles I share on this channel and turn it up 🔊🔊🔥🔥
Great question! I do play through the scenarios before starting to work on a track, though mostly to understand the general atmosphere of the scene and what’s happening in overall, without too many direct spoilers (also, because I enjoy to play fully it after it’s released ^^) and mostly derive from the descriptions the developers send me, in terms of the general story of the scenario. Also before working on Lemurian DLC ost i have studied a bit more about the inspiration behind the island and the Lemurian civilization, that one of the 2 brothers who created the game shared with me, so that played a big role too It’s the “behind the scenes” that play a big part of the inspiration I feel when composing music for Golden Idol ❤️🔥
