I had the pleasure of hanging out with a friend over 3 years ago who had the first DEUS, and me with the GM5 + at the time. He walked past me and I swept in exactly the same spot as him. I pulled out: 8 aluminum coins from the 1940s and a larger one in copper, i.e. a stock market (all sets) of 9 coins on a 1m x 1.50m square. My opinion that day was clear: GOLDEN MASK is BEST !!!
i have the golden mask tangra uk edition. I purchased it as a back up to my xp deus. To be honest i now use it as my main machine, depth and discrim are spot on with a stroner tone than the xp, just remember to up the volume to get the faint deeper targets. Build quality is great at the price point. I have compared signals and used different programms on the xp, the only 2 that match the goldenmask are the deep and ultimate settings.
funny what you said about tone machines in first minute . i have hit my back garden with loads of vdi machines and with small and large coils ,inc omega 8000 and tek g2. between all of them they have pulled approx 25 non ferrous targets out ,last month i brought a gm1+ and had a little play in garden .within minutes i had pegged four targets . when i dug them up they were all non ferrous and between 6"-8". then the other day i decided to try the 7" coil out ,only scanned a third of garden and have 22 pegs marked for retrieval . dug four up today 2 were coke ,one a copper nail ,the other a buckle at 5"-6",to me thats a result i class coke as non ferrous too. so this goes to show how many iffy signals you can pass up on with a vdi machine . would say i will never use another vdi machine but i have a gm5 coming soon ,lol. deffo gotta trust the ears like on the deus ,and forget what numbers are doing . numbers are for coinshooters . great video as usual
Thank you Nigel...... Great test bed you have in the garden, each machine find or fail. So a good measure for varied future machines. Happy yard hunting 👍
+ziggyjinx i do now have a few pasture sites as well ziggy ,which the gm1+ pulled two hammies out of in first week using it . but they are not that iron infested ,so i decided to drop back onto my garden because its full of nails and coke etc plus i was stir crazy for something to do while kids are off school .i knew the gm1+ would find stuff after getting the two hammies . but 5+22 targets so far and only scanned a third of garden . given the other machines only found 30 non ferrous between them and had first crack at garden ,its clear to me the gm is in a different league on iron infested ground .
analogue all the way for me i never thrust any meter or vdi again they can only help you with shallow coins. wich is off course a handy tool and gimmick but going by sound gives me far more reliability .. again , everyone his own .. nice video off a great detector , no beginners only .. for sure a experienced one have a lot of fun with this one too !
I had a golden mask machine that I sold and regret it still, that was a great little machine. I also enjoyed the Alter 71 and the AKA Sorex which I also owned I like these obscure machines from europe they all have some good feature.
This should help you understand a little and shows why it's important to use as little disc as poss 👍 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z32O3UCT1UY.html
hello ziggy, you prefer the 9" coil mate? im looking at the new 1+ its a deal with wireless headphones and you can have all sorts of coils, confusing. cheers j
Huckleberry Thinz I've not long bought one and love it not had many ventures out with it but at bullet beach got some good depth out of it in the dry sand 👌 four pistol casings from the same hole about 9" maybe a touch deeper
Tell you what mate, that looks a cracking detector for the money, I have got to get one as a backup to my Deus. Can't believe how deep they go. Thanks for the video, just gave you a sub GL&HH Paul
what batteries does it take are different size coils available,,is it water proof, are accessories available ie control box cover coil cover what comes in the box with it regards,,,pat
+magicwands1 I'm sure Ziggy will confirm this, but as far as I know it takes 10 AA recharables, comes with charger, load of coils available go to the makers website all info there, coil waterproof, control box not, coil covers can be had or they come with a cover......... www.gmmetaldetectors.com/metal_detectors.php?id=13

+evoermine i have been told theres a new uk stockist ,but maybe hes holding off till he has received adequate stocks . nothing worse than running out of machines in first week ,even though its a positive sign.
I suggest you don't watch my videos as they wind you up.....It's not a review. All reviews will be on my website when launched after a period of time. I've seen prices alter on websites so if I quote you one and its wrong will you be happy ?? Also a few sellers and new sellers soon. When I do video reviews they will be more in depth... I only really like to review anything after I've lived with for a good period of time... These are all new machines to me. Used lots of machines since detecting but I do these videos normally within a week of receiving... I've learnt new things with these machines since videos like this so if this was a review I would of failed. That's why I've not reviewed any machines yet but rushed reviews when I borrowed them for a guy months ago. All in good time grass hopper.
