Was ther last weekend…. Food has changed a lot in the last several years, not always for the best. We were there 5 days, never saw the Grotto open. Claim jumpers is usually reliable but somehow the waiter forgot to put my order in, my husband was finished eating when fish & chips came…not exactly complicated 🤷🏼♀️. Red Asian was amazing, sushi is always good and soup was excellent. Do miss happy hour and the firecracker shrimp tho. Went to Charthouse for my birthday dinner….even tho I planned a head and noted it was a special dinner we were seated in the back by the kitchen, it was so noisy we couldn’t hear each other. The food was amazing, best coconut shrimp apples and tried the chill & grill shrimp as well, would recommend them both. My husbands prime rib was just the way he asked and it was incredibly tender. My Ahi was to die for. When I asked for the bill I also asked the waiter to appy my Landry’s birthday credit - he got that ‘I messed up look’ and came back apologizing, please wait so we can get you birthday cake etc…..seems like things are to busy. Last comment we had late night hot dogs at the grill, always been a good thing in the past but not this time so salty we couldn’t eat them. Been going to the GN for 30+ years….not the best birthday trip this time
We have only eaten at Claim Jumper once and it was great. Did you let them know about your experience? Chart does get pretty busy, we pretty much stick to the Happy Hour in the Bar area because it does get so busy. Too bad about the birthday credit, did they fix it for you? Late night Hot Dogs!!!! I didn't know they had that! Where are they? Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. Have you reached out to their customer service team and shared this?
Thanks you two for your vlog. My husband and I always go the Golden Nugget. We are in our upper 60's. For some reason I get free rooms. I really don't gamble that much!! We go about twice a year. We drive up from Phoenix (4.5 hours by car) The recent find was the Chart House for us. We love happy hour and really enjoy the food and martini's. Just wish Salt Grass had a happy hour. Thanks again and keep vlogging. Cheers... P.S. I forgot to mention that you need to get a Landry's card. I think it costs $25 initially and you get your $25 back on your birthday. They give it to you every year. Then you accumulate points for other goodies.
Great question Brad! We didn't even ask, but it was closed when we were there. Thanks for watching and the great question! I'm going to ask my contact and update when I hear back.
When we went to Las Vegas my late wife liked to eat at Lily Lantry's. Not a crab lover or shrimp either. Don't like Starbucks. I like Ethel M Chocolate. We started our trips going to Ethel M at the airport.
