Golden Paints - Yellow Layer - Part 2 

I keep using too much yellow. It's easy to do with Golden paints. I'll have to remember just to dip the tip of the paint brush into the paint. I have E.L.F brand brushes here, but I just buy brushes online or from Michaels, which is where I buy my paints too. Thank you! I'll have some rubbing alcohol nearby just in case. My only issue is the yellow and I'm past the point of no return with it. XD I hope you have a great weekend as well! *HUGS*

I think that's true for any acrylic paint and vinyl. It will absorb into the vinyl and fade if you don't use primer first and add mediums to your paints. I do add in some 3-4 drops of Liquitex matte medium/fluid medium to my paints, plus some 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of high flow medium and some distilled water.

I purchased my UF kit from her and was sad to see she's going out of business. I was hoping she'd get in more kits. The prices were good.

I'm not sure what would have happened to part 1. I found another video that's similar, just not with the same kits. I start with veining and under tones, or I start with yellow. Hi, Sorry for the late reply! I go with the color of the vinyl. It's hard for me to say use this or that color. If you're starting with a very pale kit though, like one from Bountiful Baby, then start with yellow. I do a blue layer after that for veining and undertones. Then a red layer, creases and some blushing. Keep your paints very thin. If you're using Golden, buy a retarder and a flow medium. You'll also need a primer. The jar says "primer" on the front. Very important! You'll need to prime a couple of days before painting. If you skip this step you'll have a tacky feeling baby that lint sticks too. I add in a pea size of retarder to a drop of paint and 3-5 drops of flow medium and mix. If this is too thick of paint, add in some water to thin it down. Work in small areas as the paint will dry quickly. Too much retarder and the paint will take longer to dry, but it could be days, so don't add too much. I use Americana Soft Touch Varnish to seal the babies when finished painting. You'll want to do a layer of Golden Polymer UVLs before the soft touch varnish. This will protect the paints from fading, just like the primer. I will be starting new videos with these add-ins soon. I hope that helps!
