There are many benefits to having children who interact with animals as well as adults. Oh my goodness…if that wasn’t the most darling thing ever! Harlow was looking at that cake like, can I just eat the cake now…please! Harlow is just like a mom…so precious, so patient and so gentle! The son became so responsible and he was very gentle with Harlow…all this transfers over to his little sister! Beautiful!!

Beautiful! We loved our Golden rescue even with just 2 years to share! Found him in the woods near a friend's house! He was completely traumatized by rain and storms! We don't know how long he must have been out there, but what love he gave us! I think they are the perfect dog for children!

I hear you. I did that for years. I had a deal with my vet that he would charge me half price on neutering stray cats I could catch. Soon enough the local possums would join the cats for dinner, plus an occasional racoon. They all got along with each other. That was long ago and in an urban environment. There are no strays anymore thanks to coyotes. I do however have some luck finding the occasional lost dog. It has always been a rewarding and fun thing to do. Wish more folks could find a way to contribute to the cause. Thanks.

I truly believe the more children are raised not only with animals, but to see them as our family and our equals, the world will be a better place. Gotta love Goldens. When my nephew was that age, he was playing with legos and their Golden swallowed one of the little men. He simply shoved his entire arm down the dog's throat and retrieved it. The dog was so gentle and didn't bat an eye.

Never knew how loving and amazing these dogs were until I met two of them - both females. Two acquaintances have them and they are a great dog to keep. They swim, play, and love on you 24/7. I’d rescue one and keep him. They’re out there. ❤️🐕

Thank you! I needed this. I had this relationship with my brother’s dog. Lady was the perfect teacher of how to be gentle, how to share and how to be kind. She was part collie and part feist. I only had her my first 7 years. My brother was her first baby. Then she helped my sister and I too. Her only flaw was that she had to come inside when it was storming.
