Golden Retriever Puppy Makes Her Foster Mom Cry When She Gets Adopted | The Dodo Foster Diaries 

The way she played, it seems her vision was pretty much ok.

My dog has really bad back problems. Every now and then, about twice a year, she will get a flare up and ends up not being able to walk for about 2 days. Instead of giving up on her, my Stepdad would take time off work to be with her throughout the day and make sure she was as comfortable as can be. Never give up on your dog.

Uh..could it have been the human who had the vision issue?

Vision issues would have made me love the dog even more.

I adopted a young Golden that was surrendered because he had hip dysplasia. He turned out to be my 'heart dog' - the best dog I could ever have had, with such an incredible personality. Some health issues, yes, but he lived a long, very full life and dealt with everything in stride and to me, he was absolutely perfect. Everywhere we went, people fell in love with him. He passed from cancer 9 years ago, and though I have another Golden now, I still miss him every single day. I used to think about how that family that first surrendered him truly missed out on an extra special dog because they couldn't overlook a physical flaw. Their loss was my gain.

Absolutely. How people live with a dog, connect with them emotionally and just let them go is beyond me. Its a good thing to care for the dog, sure, but how do you let em go

@@vanshgupta6268 It's a sacrifice you make so you can then help another dog find a home and then another and then another and so on as many as you can. People who foster save multiple lives.

my dog loves to be outside! he also loves to be inside, but when it's really nice out he prefers being outside. he eats and sleeps during the night inside, and he's always very welcome indoors. it's just that he likes the outdoors!

Labrador retrievers are close, but there does seem to be something extra about Goldens. Maybe the floof is magic.

No dog is sweeter , more beautiful , more soulful , loving , playful and the absolute BEST with kids than a Golden retriever.

IKR! So many people r getting dogs just for quarantine, the shelters are going to be Flooded with dogs after this and they won't be able to cope leading to hundreds of dogs being put down :(. If you cannot cope to keep the dog when you get your job back DONT GET A DOG. Dogs are for life, not just for quarantine
