I just made my first ever album with this tutorials help and it turned out GORGEOUS!!! Love the step by steps. East to follow and such a great gift idea! 🩷
Omg I've been wanting to try to make a mini album and have been watching a lot of tutorials, but yours is the best! Very helpful, easy to follow. I can't wait to get started! Thank yoy soo much for sharing! I love it!😊
Katia, you always bring a smile to my face... Hopped up on cold meds... Lol. Thanks. I love, love, love this album and thanks for the very simple and clear instructions. Can't wait to make it!
I have begun making this album for myself. You are great explaining the process of building the album. Thank you for sharing this tutorial! By the way, I am planning to make a couple for my sisters for Mother's Day.
Katia is "SIMPLY THE BEST": i always come back to your pages! They are overwhelming again and again. Always an inspiration, always turning my "so lal la-moods" into creative ones. We all love you so much, not only because you are an artist. You are just a loveworthy person, a gift to the world. (Does this word (loveworthy) exist? But you will know what I mean. I will have to pimp up my English. I am sooo happy for you, not working as a slave anymore. Now you can really fly and your wings will grow!!! Love from Berlin
thank you for this tutorial started today and I've got through it and a good amount of time and it was very easy to understand can't wait to start part 2 thanks again for sharing
Jru Mulls Yaaahhh! Congrats! Once you start creating these albums you'll never want to stop! I'm so happy to hear that my tutorial was so helpful and easy to follow! Big hugs!
I am new to paper crafting . So new in fact that I've never made a mini album but I will be starting this project next week. I'm just waiting on my supplies to be delivered. I ordered a paper trimmer/ scoring board . I think that is the main supplies that I am gonna need for starting paper crafting. Thank you for sharing how you make this . I am wanting to make these for family members.
(From Amy Long. "Rich Hoffman" is our shared google account.) Thank you so much for posting these tutorials. I absolutely love these mini albums and I can't believe I'm actually making one!! So excited to see how it turns out. It is so generous of you to share your time and talent and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Rich Hoffman Thank you Amy! and you're very welcome!😀 I'm working on yet another free RU-vid tutorial right now! Hoping to have it all videoed and edited sometime in the next 2 weeks! Stay tuned!😄
I am very much looking forward to it! I'm a rookie in the papercraft department and I find this very relaxing and satisfying to see something that I've created look so darned good. I'll be sure to reference your channel if I post any pics in my FB forums.
@@LunarSunCreations Hello I just finish putting my scrapbook together following your tutorial. Thank you for sharing and making it so easy to follow. I Love it! But I have a question what is the name of your paper pad and who makes. I Live the colors. Thanks again?
I'd like to first say that I've watched 2 of your 3 tutorials on this project and you are an amazing "teacher" you are clear and concise! Your instructions are easy to understand! I am so excited that I found you because I've been looking for an easy mini album for my niece who is going to have a baby boy in September! I was wondering if by chance you had any written instructions on this. If not that is ok! Thank you for all your hard work and sharing this project with us! You are truly amazing! 🤗
Tera B Thank you! That is really awesome to hear!!🤗 I don't have written instructions for this particular album, however, I do have a few tutorials in my etsy shop that have both written PDF and video parts! Happy crafting!
Hi Katia, I love your work and you have really inspired me to start making these beautiful albums. I have a couple of questions regarding the black paper needed. How many sheets did you use? What size where they, and what weight? I can't wait to start but don't want to run out of paper before I'm finished! Also, do you know where (for your Fairie Dust album) I can get hold of the G45 Fairie Dust Patterns and Solids pad, the tags, ephemera etc? I have the 12 x 12 and 8 x 8 pads, but cannot find the rest anywhere. I have most of the other stuff needed for the above project. My magnets arrived yesterday and I got really excited about them. How sad is that?! Thanks Katia, and keep on sharing your fantastic albums!
Thank you for making this tutorial! Although it got a little confusing at times. I was able to figure it out and just kept following along and made my 1st Mini Album. I plan to make 3 more for Christmas. I posted my Album on my RU-vid channel, if you would like to drop by and see it. I gave you credit in the description. Thanks a Bunch!
Hi there. I loved your 3 tutorials. You are very talented and motivating. I would like to make some albums for baby gifts and am having a tough time finding magnets that are strong enough to hold cardstock paper. What kind of magnets do you use and where can they be purchased? I have unsuccessfully tried Michaels, the Hobby Lobby and Joanns. Thanks for sharing.
Maryann Sutherland Thank you so much! I purchase my magnets on eBay. They usually come from China. I'll also be carrying them in my etsy shop in a couple weeks. Cheers! Katia
Thank you for posting this tutorial. I have made all the pages but I seem to be missing the small pocket at the bottom of the second page. It is the one you have attached the closure to. Could you tell me where in the tutorial those instructions are? Thanks!!!!!
Jessica Roberts Is it the tiny little 1" pocket right at the bottom of the page that you're referring to? If so, it's just a matted one inch strip of paper that is only adhered down on 3 sides. I will sometimes add these little pocket bits onto a page if my patterned paper is just a little too short, then the tiny pocket covers up that black space. Hope that helps. Happy crafting !
Surya Naryana I get mine from a local craft store, however it us widely available. Just type score tape or red line tape into a Google search and you'll find all kinds of places that sell it.
hi....i loved the album n the tutorial was great...i want to make this for my girlfriend on our anniversary...could you please tell me which paper pack you used fr the album???
Divya Sachdeva , I used quite a few different collections for this one. If you watch the beginning of the walk through video for this album, I list them all there. here's the link to it..... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-d__5a8KFIgs.html Happy crafting! Cheers! Katia
Hello, Thanks so much for sharing. I'm having problems finding magnets that are strong enough yet not to big. Can you share what magnets you are using with you mini albums. Thanks so much, love your work. RebeKah
Marija Kostoska , you want a cardstock that is at least 60 pound weight and doesn't Crack when you score and fold it. I find the recollections brand to be quite good.
Love this mini album, but can you tell me the name of this paper pad! The reason why I'm asking cause the first book looks like a different paper the the other. Can you please tell me!
Hi Kim, The paper collection is called "Golden Romance". I think it's by paper house productions. But , gosh, it was so long ago that I made this one that I'm not absolutely positive. I'll try to find it again to confirm that!!
@@katiaeverett9965 ok thank you I know that was what you said but the first video look like a total different paper. Thank you so much and you are Amazing!
Kathleen Mccully I get them from an eBay seller in China. I do have them available in my etsy shop! www.etsy.com/ca/listing/547266797/8mm-thin-disc-magnets
I'm not sure if I understand correctly what it is you are asking? If you would like to see the walk through of the finished album using this tutorial , the link is in the description box! Cheers
bur·nishˈbərniSH/verbverb: burnish; 1. polish (something, especially metal) by rubbing."highly burnished armor"synonyms:polish, shine, buff, rub, gloss. You are creasing the paper, not burnishing. I don't know how that word 'caught on' but it is incorrect.
I hope I didn't offend you. It seems most crafters come up with a word, without knowing what it really means and others follow them, thinking they know better lol. You do great work though =)
Mary Burke , No don't worry.😀...I'm not at all offended. Quite the contrary! I've only been making albums for a couple of years, ( and absolutely loving it!) and I am definitely wanting to impart the proper terminology especially in doing tutorials. Thanks for the tip! Sorry if my first comment sounded curt, I was on a quick break at work😄
to rub (a material) with a tool for compacting or smoothing or for turning an edge pottery with a smooth burnished surfaceBurnish | Definition of Burnish by Merriam-Webster www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/burnish sooooo depending on where you get info it can be correct as you are doing this to the paper with a tool....
