Golden Sands is SAVED

It's always been obvious to me why Golden Sands was picked, and that's because of it's historical significance, this is the outpost where The Pirate Lord held his legendary parlay with Grey Marrow, Captain Shaw, and Briggsy, which while interrupted by a Kraken attack, and by The Gold Hoarder's betrayal, was the start of Athenas Fortune and the more organized Sea of Thieves we know today, Golden Sands sits as a monument to all the Reapers Bones wishes to destroy, so it's only logical they would go for it first as a show of force.

It was an epic battle alright. I never ran into another player doing the tall tale.

An interesting note I'd like to point out, on the Sea of Thieves website when talking about Merrick's victory, they say "Long live *New* Golden Sands" implying that there's going to be drastic enough change to warrant adding that "New" to it

Only reason i’m keeping up with the mystery is to not potentially miss out on another random cosmetics like that Fallen Sea Dog Lantern. Who even gives a shit that Demarco died, he’ll respawn.

Yea, I kinda lost interest in the mystery after seeing it was time gated behind Twitter retweets and replies. Especially since it starts right as the Lost Sands adventure was about to start. So I just focused on saving Golden Sands and I will wait for a RU-vid video that tells me the next part of the mystery has been unlocked and if it gives anything cool like the lantern.

Shows how invested I am into the game... didn't even know DeMarco was dead. It's like WoW, you can't afford to not follow the lore for even a single second. You instantly miss everything important and have zero clue what happened.

I forget which NPC but one outpost NPC makes it known that there's an underwater door somewhere around wanderer's refuge, maybe that's alluding to the burning blade being there or more flameheart stuff.

Ok, so hear me out: De Marco is either still alive, or he was killed by the Reapers. Sea Dogs and Reapers definitely didn't like each other due to their different views on PvP, that's probably the reason why the Arena closed in lore.

The push for twitter is starting to bug me. I put out some screenshots on both community days for maximum profit. It is clear that they gonna drip feed us the mystery clues throughout the upcoming seasons. Learning from other ARGs that got solved within days.

I didn’t think people could get so serious over an island although I did rlly like that outpost it was my favorite anyways I remember goin to the discord to ask for help on wat to do for the adventure and I had all these people tellin me wat they wanted me to do to benefit their stupid side it was actually so annoying they called each other the red and blue names and said not to trust the other side genuinely made my time tryna complete the quest harder I just wanted actual help and I got a bunch of annoyin useless info

No one may have thought Golden Sands was going to go back to an identical state but it looks like it might end up that way. I don't know, I'm far more disappointed by the mystery being dull and impossible to solve without waiting on rare drip feeding us clues

Around the beginning of the pandemic the map bugged out and showed me a very different looking golden sands with a new name and a whole new island right above plunder valley I tried tweeting at them but got no response I kinda just forgot about it until this event now I cant help but wonder if the two are connected 🤔

I think the reason Junior wants to destroy GS is because it's where Ramsey first gathered the major players of his time to work together to make the Seas better or whatever (I haven't read the book), and he doesn't like the idea of something like that happening again, because Daddy issues I guess? I.E. Senior wants it shrouded, so Junior wants it shrouded.

I think the reapers would have centered the capstans if they had won the battle.

The story of sea of Thieves can definitely be a snooze fest but yeah i have a feeling they not gonna to anything special to golden other then it looks like burning rubble liked the idea of community choices though just wished we would know what happened for which side which they did point out the same outcome would happen for both sides.

I've never cared for the story in Sea of Thieves. When I boot up the game I look for action, mischief, and other piraty things to do to other players. Tall tales and murder mysteries are the opposite of what I want, so I skip them. But to each their own, the game has a broad amount of content for it.

It's sad it got saved nothing changed its still the same as before like we could have had something better
