Honestly I don’t know why people are so addicted to final fantasy when GS has a way better story line with cooler characters

I always hated final fantasy because my cheating ex loved it and if someone with a dark heart who pretended to be innocent and kind can love that game then that’s saying something about that game !! I bet Hitler would have loved it too, GS is pure nostalgia and cleansed of any slut love

if nintendo would be willing to do a remake of all the games to prepare people the the 4th game than yes it would make your wish a reality (possibly)

fun fact, the composer went on to make the soundtrack for Dark Souls, so praise the Golden Sun!

I'm also 27 sad that I can no longer play video games like I used to. I always what life would be if I was a part of Weyard. Got this game when I was 5 years old couldn't beat it or appreciate it until I was 11 :) hopefully we get a conclusion to dark dawn this year or next! ❤

same here, but at my birthday. my older brother recommended it to me back then, I had no idea how amazing this game is. absolute favorite. I think i played it 5 times 🤣

@@Uthuriel to be fair, Camelot is largely responsible for the lack of Golden Sun, since they favored making Wii-sports titles and failed to listen to the fans when making Dark Dawn... they seriously only have to reduce the dialogue and it would've been, well not perfect but,a heck of a lot better. But alas, they didn't and we'll likely never see a release for GS for decades to come. :(

They were both completely unforgettable. Truly the RPG of my childhood and prepared me for what was to come. Honestly crying just typing this

i had only one complain, the battle system when you defeated an enemy but there's still attacks to do, it always bugs me a bit

it's been 20 years, this year in 2021. Here's hoping..

I love how each town you go to in the game had its own unique music, it’s like a cultural shock going to each little village, God I fuckn miss this game so much

I played on the GBA and soem time ago on my Phone and the graphics are still nuts (especially in the fights) for a GBA game. Maybe the best Pixelarts I've seen all my life.

It would just let you down if they remade them, they'd be watered down with easier gameplay and hand holding, and you'd get horrible English voiceovers with the Japanese audio only available as DLC xD

@@monstermadness3998 nah, the original games are already really easy aside from a couple bosses. They wouldn’t have to adjust the difficulty at all

It's a hard draw between this series and chrono trigger for my all time favorite rpg

@@XxEvanxX97 oh yea, i heard that there was a little battle between chrono trigger or golden sun, well, i never played chrono trigger, i guess it may be a draw, at the end of the day, they are both very good games :)

Final Fantasy X for me. Although this was definitely one of if not my favorite GBA game

I tried the first one and honestly, beyond the interesting dungeons and ost, I think Golden Sun was very mediocre. Story isn't particularly interesting to read through(which is vital to a JRPG IMO), the combat is very unremarkable(the Djinn system is like the PSX Persona trilogy or Magicite in FF6, neat but the combat is too vanilla to really warrant much praise). As far as GBA RPGs go, I'd say Golden Sun is beat by FF5, FF6(better combat at the cost of dungeon crawling being worse, FF6 also beats GS's story), Megaman Battle Network 6(probably the best RPG in the whole system, tight gameplay, shockingly strong story for the series and fun dungeons) and Pokemon Emerald(amazing ost, great flow, super fun to challenge yourself at and generally just a solid game). However, when put next to other games of its generation, Golden Sun starts looking especially shaky. We had titans like FF9 and 10, underrated masterpieces like Persona 2 Eternal Punishment(possibly the single greatest JRPG story to date) and possibly the greatest JRPG of the 2000s, Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne/Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call. I'd put Golden Sun on the same level as say Lufia and the Fortress of Doom, some early Dragon Quest games(without any of the cultural weight) and Breath of Fire 1. That said, I would love to see a game in the vein of Golden Sun when it comes to Dungeons and the unique Djinn system, but with more interesting combat and a more in-depth story.

You can play them both on the WiiU...or the Gamecube if you can find an old GBA player.

Sad we're at the point with video games where we're saying 1 more time as if we're not sure if we'll live long enough to play it again multiple times. Been doing this a lot lately with stuff from childhood. Shows/movies, places too. One more time.
