Her work “Reflected in Thunder” is a captivating compilation of photographs applied to aluminium foil using the silkscreen technique. This method, blending digital and ancient Chinese printing techniques, creates a unique visual experience. The deliberate uneven application of aluminum foil on the supporting panel enhances the dramatic impression of thunder, evoking a sense of intensity and dynamism. In “Reflected in Thunder,” the juxtaposition of the dramatic reflection of the sunset against the dark grey skies draws parallels to the iconic sunset scene from “Master and Margarita,” with recognisable silhouettes of Moscow architecture adding depth and context to the composition. With each poignantly intense and yet balanced composition, the artist suggests looking into the depth of our memories and emotions, where truth is not fixed but continually reshaped by the passage of time.
