Perfect Dark was a little scarier imo. The multiplayer combat stimulants were weirdly creepy to me. Darksim was freaking scary, especially in game modes without a radar. Be moving so fast you’ll shit yourself when it rounds a corner and domes you before you have time to react. Their movements are so robotic and entirely different from the enemies in the campaign. And the music… it makes it so much more suspenseful.

Allow me to attempt to make better sense of his statement. Yeah, when he went to it he kinda thought... Uh ... This is a newer version?? This is how it looked when I was 5! Biggest thing is knowing where to go. I just got through it in 2:46, because I did agent and secret agent before it. Naturally, Agent took the longest. But they’ve got 3 body armors out there for you, it’s one of the easier missions

I only just managed to beat the Cradle mission on 00 Agent with a mouse and keyboard (project64 with 60fps implementation and mouse injector). This game was so much harder on N64

It was all ready to go and 1 exec at Nintendo said no. Cancelled the whole project cuz of 1 guy.

It was either a Nintendo executive (who may or may not have been Satoru Iwata) or EON Productions saying they couldn’t do it. There’s a a message in the end credits that says something like ‘EON bring back Goldeneye’ so it was probably that

I’ve heard that the map actually is shown somewhere in the mission, in an unlikely and easy to overlook spot of course. Even if you find it, you have to understand what it even means. But that might be a rumor.

I guess they just thought this was cooler because if you think about it, the last two levels don't really make any sense from a James Bond perspective. There might have been more levels at one time considering they initially wanted all four Bonds to be included but those two levels are from the Roger Moore era so I'm guessing they just went with what they liked the most.

I guess it’d be more accurate, but too underwhelming for a Goldeneye mission (the final one at that). Baron Samedi, with his voodoo resurrection powers or whatever, makes the mission last longer.

Aztec was favourite level but I wish instead of Egyptian they had you on scaramangas Island, quick duel on beach side at beginning then chase him into his lair with constant guards coming at you, couple of side objectives before access to the 'fun house section' for final showdown.
