Such a shame, Vampire Diaries brought me here. I wasn't ever interested in Goldfrapp, but this song is just a catchy tune and.. god, I've missed so much.
I can't believe they used a Goldfrapp song! I remember being shocked and excited when I was watching this episode for the first time. Goldfrapp is one of my all time favorite musicians! Plus, The Vampire Diaries is awesome so it doesn't get any better than this!
@all4uboom yeah, especially since TVD is based on a book series written in the late 80s - early 90s. it really seems that twilight copied TVD (edward drinks animal blood so does stefan) but i think that the similarities stop there. TVD has way more substance and a much more gripping plot (in the books and the television/film).
Goldfrapp show us that this group have the capacity to give us too many kind of rithyms, sounds, not only unusual vocal... they can do master pieces for everybody...
Has a Denniz Pop/Max Martin vibe to it. Definite boyband territory. Bassline reminds me of "Larger Than Life" by the BSB - not exact by any stretch, but has that wonky pop vibe that made the Cheiron production so carefree and fun. A sunny song...hence, "radiate."
I have to give this a second chance soon, because it's the first Goldfrapp song that hasnt felt amazing to me :p it sounds a bit uninspired and rather tired.
Goldfrapp's first 3 albums are brilliant - trippy like Portishead and GREAT sex music. I just can't get into anything from the last 5 years or so, though - sounds too much like Kyle Minogue pop music.
