Yea I found my 2016 F6b shifts smoother with GN4 conventional and oil level at the bottom of the fill range on the dipstick. Not running low but lowest I can get to on the dipstick with the 3 min run from cold to off for 3 min. Whether on center stand or flat on ground gets the same reading so I use the center stand
You have a good eye, I'm temporarily rotating out my rear black wheel and CT with my unused spare, if I don't it will eventually dry rot if i never use it.
I couldn't help noticing but that is a motorcycle tire under that bike, and what did it cost you to have the transmission service done on the bike and the antifreeze serve
On your new GW, which oil do you use? I read many blogs on moving to Synthetic. I refuse to do it on my 2020. Since day one, only Honda regular GN4. I follow Honda's engineers designing the DCT using regular oil. As long as we change it by the recommended schedule, no issues in my book. I might move to 10-40 from 10-30, that's about it.
Synthetic oil is based from distilled crude oil so using it in the newer Goldwing should not cause harm to the engine, just make sure that the oil meets Honda requirements and formulated for wet clutches because the same oil that lubricates the engine also lubricate the clutch plates. At some point I will run full Synthetic oil in my new Goldwing unless the manufacturer specifically states in writing otherwise.
@@chriscaliente5033 I had asked Honda about it. They are very conservative on using regular 10-30/40 for bikes. My dealer uses regular only. If you ask for synthetic, they will make a note on the bill, per customer's request. The bottom line is, so far, the bike runs smooth and fantastic on 10-30 GN4. Safe ride, boss.

Synthetics oil does have some advantages over conventional motor oil, but I now share miles betweeen two Goldwings consequently not running my 2016 as much. I recommend that If you only have one bike, Synthetic would be the better option.
@@mariuszgraczyk8583 yes I have used Amsoil 10w 30 in the summer many times. Honda actually calls for 10w 30 for year models 2012 or newer but it wouldn’t hurt to run 10w 40 as an option in the summer months just for extra protection if your long distance traveling or pulling a trailer full time..Either way you should be fine.
Checking every day for part two, the black ring of fire. Thinking of my mat silver 2016 F6b. Tried the black kury rotor covers but they were gloss black, all black colors on my bike are flat black and it didn’t look Right. Are the rings of fire glossy or flat? Looks glossy in the video
Just to let you know ,the W in the API specs stands for winter not weight--The 10w is the same for winter--The 30 is for colder months and the 40 is for warmer months--for cold weather riding I would use a 5w20 and the hot months use a 15w or 20w40 or 50
