Impressive lesson Milo you identified 3 things stance to narrow, right hand grip, and his hinge on backswing. IMO the student wasn’t difficult to me it’s the same way I am perceived notion of what’s wrong and not listening/ hearing what you were saying. I listened to my lesson with you and it was the same thing. I was doing to much talking and not enough listening. By showing him your drills and getting him to do each correctly he made significant improvements. He is obviously extremely talented and my guess he will be a great example of the athletic swing you & Henry preach. Great stuff

Great instruction Milo. Great Oz amateur Kevin Hartley used to tell me how you sling the club not swing it. Positions you put this guy in really promotes the slinging of the club from the inside. You’ve just got to turn the body and get the handle going left through impact. Balls only going straight and compressed with this motion. Can’t understand some of the negative comments being posted.

This man has three major flaws and all of them are between his ears. He believes the wrong things and therefore he's trying to perform what he believes. Milo, you're changing his physical motion but it's not getting through to his brain. If you changed his intention first, his swing would be much easier to fix. He clearly believes that impact and address should be the same position and that the clubface has be facing upward to make the ball fly upward - both are false, (at least in belief.) The third flaw is that you have to swing toward the target to make the ball fly in that direction.
@golfolie64

He's going to have to rotate like Hell,and try holding it off with that strong ass grip.. So if I line up left and hit fades,parallel to parallel for a straight shot,wouldn't I want to line up right to draw the ball back to target? Of course this wouldn't be a push draw
@MiloLinesGolf
@MiloLinesGolf Год назад
You can hit a push draw from open or closed stance, doesn't matter. It's all matchups, club face, and path. No need to hold off with that grip, in fact the release can be more stable this way.

I've been watching Milo for a while now. And trying to get the technique. However the closer i think i'm getting to it the more i am pushing it. Might that be the grip? For years i've played with a weak grip and flipped the hands so i'm thinking i may not be committing to the stronger grip (for fear of hitting the pull - my bad shot).

Love the content, love the hockey stick, baseball analogies. Had a shoulder injury and decided to use the Milo athletic pivot. My arms are now floating in the honey pot and turning the door knob. So many good feelings and shot results. These changes “feel to me” like the club is getting into position, staying behind and never turning over out to the ball (tipping). The club feels so stable through impact. I was trying to time impact, now it happens naturally after impact. If I could putt I’d be dangerous. Thanks to Milo and Hank

Can you clarify the grip when you asked him about throwing and a hammer? This Shawn Clements on RU-vid talks about swinging the club like you’re hitting the back of the ball with a hammer and his backswing is so slow and upright. I prefer your style, butI can’t quite get this.

im sure everyone is going to get on me for this but it always amazes me when I watch a video of an instructor with 30K followers who does a swing analysis that is all over the place with vague terminology and no progression to how the swing is broken down. back swing is not too bad? what does that mean to the student, your sequence is a little off ? what does that mean? pushing the club out in front? And if you STOP the video right at 9:28, you can see that his left hand is too strong and his right hand is way too under the grip. you're going to hit it left all day when the path is too much along the upper plane line. Oh thats right there was no mention of that. But I'm sure Milo makes 100K a year . If you gave a guy that shoots 100 that lesson he would not have understood or learned a thing about his swing. thats all , you guys can start raging on me now.

Do I need to explain in detail and terms that the student most likely doesn’t understand or simply demonstrate the incorrect movement then help them feel the correct patterns. Also I addressed his grip and the left hand was a tad stronger than my preference but the right was the hand causing his issues. I had maybe 30 minutes with this student and his ball striking totally changed in that short time period.

@@MiloLinesGolf My point is that if you are going to make these self promoting videos that lots of golfers watch, the least you could do is convey in more clear,concise language, what you are trying to do with the student. Whether or not the student learned anything that will turn into a lasting swing change is something we will never know. When I teach my students , a main goal is to make sure they understand what is going on with their swing , why we need to fix it and the drills to help them work on the change.

well billy boy he wasn't 100 shooter and the drill was structered to fix his tendacy to be to handsy. I have wasted money on lesson on someone like you and all they could say is i don't know what your doing.Now when i am the range i listen to the instructor and see if i will spend or waste my money on a instructor that quotes from some text book. Years ago when i was 5.4 index at a championship course par 72 slope 138 and the only reason i was so high was becuase if i missed the green i said to myself oh well nice bogey . I became friends with him and his canadian champion wife and i asked him for a lesson because i wasn't hiting as straight as i wanted. When i got to the lesson i grabbed my seven iron and started to go to the range, he was at the practice green and said no this is what you need and where you will drop the most shots of your card. Thank you pat best lesson i had because he identifyed my problem (chipping) and fixed it.If i listend to both you and milo on the range i know where i would spend my money. where can i get a lesson milo.

Milo, amazing stuff! Being a former college baseball player; your teaching processes and descriptions of what you are trying to get the student to do are fun to see. Keep up the great work!

@@MiloLinesGolf probably why he has trouble lowering, because it’s just too low to hold the angles. I got to get out there to see you soon. Been trucking and haven’t played golf. Last time I played I walked off the course at hold 12

@@MiloLinesGolf ok it's harder than it looks. Golf is so humbling. I'm going vertical on the way back and shallow down. Trying to turn vs flip my hands at the ball is a challenge. I shall win
