Gomexus Power handle upgrade for a baitcasting fishing reel Why and how to install this product 

Gomexus is a tremendous company with super customer support. I have put at least 25 Gomexus power knobs on my vintage reels. In most cases I keep the original handles and purchase a handle shank to make a power knob handle. I have about 15 different sizes and colors of their power knobs in a tool box that I put together just for installing power knobs. Most of mine are drill to fit installations on vintage saltwater spinning knobs. This installation is much easier to do but mine are never that straightforward. Gomexus has been very good to provide shafts that are easy to fit. Using a step drill bit has worked best for me. My first ones were done on Penn 704Z and 706Z reels. I’ve also done them on Mitchell 302, 306, 402, 406, 302N and 386 reels. I even did one for two of my Daiwa 7000C reels. I absolutely recommend Gomexus. Hey Dennis, I put 2 of thease handles on my Abu 6601 AB's . As you know I use my Abu's for commercial salt water fishing. I love the handles but not the bearings. If you don't service those stock bearings after each use they corrode which I learned the hard way. I've replaced their bearings with Ceramic bearings from Boca Bearing Co. and they work flawlessly with little maintenance. The only drawback is those bearings are 25 bucks each and each handle takes 2 bearings so it's a little expensive.

If you have larger hands a power handle is best. Some don't like them, I love them if they're of decent quality.

I have an older abu garcia ambassadeur original 5000 thats gold. would this handle fit on that reel?
