7:48 this is the exact moment I started to really enjoy Cachino as a character. Other devs would close the case on this quest right at getting paid, but Obsidian wrote this guy excellently, in that even when he’s been made on his side-dealing and abuse, he doesn’t know to stop himself, and lets his ambition consume him.

Da Shieldmasta That’s why I think it’s okay to take the other bosses out and put Cachino in charge. The Courier can keep an eye on him, and keep things from getting out of hand. Plus, hopefully, the greater workload and responsibilities might help with his self-control. If he truly wants to be better, now he has the opportunity.

I know, that Cachino did horrible things, including case of Joana, but I can't just shoot him after him helping me dealing with Nero and Sal. Maybe I am a softie, but I just can't. If I were in that situation, I'd warn him, that I would deal with him only If I heard about him sexually assaulting another women.

I can think of a satisfying resolution when siding with Cachino... Don't let him leave Nero's office alive. Let all three of their carcasses rot in that room and leave the Omertas with no leadership besides the Courier/Mr. House.

I totally agree with you. Cachino was a scumbag to prostitutes, but on the other hand he helped us with whole weapon case. I'd give him a very solid warning, so that he would remember that till the end of his days.

In my current playthrough, when I did this quest, I convinced Cachino to help. This resulted in all three of them dying, but I still completed the quest. I just left the room, closed the door behind me and used a console command to lock it (I have the key to the door after all, so it'd make sense that I can lock the damn thing). No one seems to know what happened, and I'm considered "part of the family". I can't help but wonder how the Omertas are gonna handle the sudden "disappearance" of the three highest-ranking guys in the family.

13:17-13:42 That, right there, is when I start considering _shooting everybody in the Gommorah building._ You know, all of the casinos on the New Vegas Strip are _bad_ to me. But I can at leasst _tolerate_ most of them. The Tops gives me a chance to give Benny a taste of his own medicine, the Lucky 38 is where Mr. House can be talked with, face-to-monitor, and the Ultra Luxe, while not exactly the greatest, still is luxurious as hell. But Gommorah? I honestly don't want to open the doors half the time to that hellhole. From Clanden's "snuff tapes" that honestly make me sick to my stomach, to Joana's honest-to-god kidnapping just so they can make some quick bottlecaps... Gommorah is just evil, even by _Mojave Wasteland_ standards. And those standards are already set _pretty damn low._

To make the point home, in the Bible, Gomorrah was the second of twin cities that God destroyed in the Book of Job because the people in those cities were awful bastards who indulged in sin and degeneracy. I think the Sodom equivalent in New Vegas is Nipton, that Caesar's Legion destroyed for similar reasons.

IMO Cochino is the better option, world is a shitty place, not only NV but ours too, choosing lesser evil where no good option is available (power vacuum would probably be waaaay worse since power struggle would surely cause casualties) is sometimes the best we can do.

When I first started the bye bye love quest I was looking for Joana and I walked into the brimstone hadn’t said anything to any npc or anything but cachino ran up to me and yelled at me to stop asking about him and to quit saying his name. It was a little frightening but funny at the same time

I finally confirmed my suspicion since playing the game but never really pinpointing who it was. Big Sal is played by Alex Rocco who voiced the character of Roger Meyers Jr. on the Simpsons. Sounds just like him. Guess he was originally in Godfather, but who the hell in the millennial generation is really going to remember him from that role? ;)

The reason why you don’t get the Pimp Boy 3 Billion after taking the “Find the blackmail in Sal’s office” way to finish the quest, is because you have to talk to Sal in order to relieve Troike of his contract and “get them to buy from Mick and Ralph again”. At least supposedly.

Cachino keeps a copy of his journal in his backpack too. If your sneak is high enough or if you wanna use a stealth boy it's fairly easy to pickpocket it.

Mod that nods to the long held, real life, rumor, that the Freemasons have rented out the top 3 floors of the Luxor Casino Resort, in Las Vegas, since it was built. Same rumor that says they had a big hand in the creation of Las Vegas itself, way back when. Interesting to read about, although, you likely will be hard pressed to find anything about it unless you really do some good research.

Hey Ox. About the confusion over telling Mick the Omertas will buy guns again is because your suppsed to go back to him before finishing How Little We Know. Remeber Mick sent you to Gomorrah to get them to buy weapons again. Once you convince them by say dealing with Troike.

Wow, Cahino's so intimidating with his lack of facial expressions and potato lookin' face and he talk's a lot of sh*t for someone with a bad haircut and a dirty suit too. Next time I play New Vegas, I'll actually go into the Gomorrah (which I don't normally bother doing) and 'talk to him in private' as he suggests. He won't be able to say much afterwards. 17:46 Holy sh*t, what a disappointment. What is it with characters in the Fallout games talking all this sh*t and then being weak as tissue paper?

Don't know if this would be asking for too much, but I believe closed captioning would be an excellent addition to these already intriguing videos. I would love to be able to watch them in public without headphones! ☺

Extra note on the Pimp-Boy, Ox seems to have a mod or something that changes it but when you bring it up you actually hold it at a bit of an angle for extra coolness

Is it just me, or is Clanden’s dark secret REALLY disturbing? This kind of sexual violence exists in the real world which makes it even more disturbing and scary than any mutated monster in New Vegas.

In my game, I lied to Big Sal and told him that I was working for Nero, but when the dialogue ended, Nero opened fire first killing Sal and Cachino due to the spread. Still completed the quest when I killed Nero.

There's also a ghoul "Exotic Dancer" (It also says human, but it's only ever been a ghoul for me) in Lower Gomorrah that will tell you if you have Lady Killer.

I don’t know if you’ll see this Ox, but this quest was glitched for me. I went downstairs (without even being on the quest) and went to this room, and the girl on the table was “dead” but she was up, and walking around. When you talk to her, the description comes up, and she doesn’t have dialog, but she has voiced lines like the other girls in the casino. It was so weird lol

You know, I just recognized the voice of Big Sal. He voice Don Falcone in the Batman Year One movie. I guess he has the perfect voice for mobsters

2:46 is one of my favorite lines in the game. When I first heard it I kept asking the same question over and over again laughing harder each time. Obsidian probably made that dialogue infinite for a reason. Lol

I always just kill Cachino once I finish the quest. It means getting into a shoot out with the other Omertas, but it's worth it so that he doesn't walk away from his crimes.
