Warren Lanes Bowling Alley was a beloved institution in Phillipsburg, NJ for over 60 years. Sadly, the bowling alley was demolished in 2023, to make room for a QuickChek.

The bowling alley inside really gives me the backrooms vibe. I like how the setup has a vintage look! It's unfortunate that this building got razed for a convenience store. Haven't done bowling for already two years now. Fantastic video as always 👍

Hey Andy, thanks for checking out my video.I totally agree with you, the inside of the place had some serious backrooms and liminal vibes going on. And that vintage aesthetic was legit! It's a real shame that they tore it down but that's just how it goes sometimes.

Alot of these older bowling alleys are getting demolished. I used to bowl at Hy-way bowl in Union, NJ it was on 22 that place also got knocked down.

That's rough, Seems like these older bowling alleys are disappearing left and right.

Wow it looked super old school and cool like it was stuck in the 90s

Right?! It's almost like they were trapped in a time capsule, frozen in the '90s! It was definitely a unique and nostalgic experience, that's for sure.

This is astonishing of how retro it looks. Like a big Lebowski film setting.

Man, that sucks the bowling alley got knocked down to make way for another QuickCheck. Like, how many of those do we need in NJ?

I totally agree. It sucks that they demolished a local bowling alley for yet another QuickChek.

I lived in Philiipsburg in the early 80's and remember those lanes well. Sorry to see it go for another useless and overbuilt franchise market. I also remember the Orr's, Laneco and Lane supermarket on Route 22 years ago. Thanks for the video. Note: Wonder if Bel-Pike Lanes on Route 519 in White Township is still in business? And, I think Oakwood Lanes on Route 31 in Warren County's still open
