Gosh darn it, I got so excited when I saw the elbows. Of course they'd ruin the shoulders. Because heaven forbid Lego ever make a set with more than two joints per limb.
I absolutely love this set. I have no developed or tangible reasons why, I just look at this and absolutely love it. Looking at this thing just pleases me, I will absolutely be picking it up. Thank you for the phenomenal and well detailed reviews as always. Stay awesome, jang.
well, it is over 1000 part, but is makes me wonder, is the terrain really necesary for this set? maybe remove it and 1 character, and it could be 60 euros
If you move the ball joint on the wings down onto where the tiny cilinder is, the wings have so much more movement. So you don’t need any pieces outside of the set to let the wings have loads of articulation
I found flipping the wing holders helped the most...jang sorta does it but you gotta switch the wings around. You can also move the stud shooters up and grey pieces on the body back further. It looks the same but has full motion.. not sure why lego stumbled there.
@@thealmightybrick1393 One of them was in the most recent plane set Jang reviewed, it had a sticker showing a map of the plane going over an Island that was shaped like Voya Nui. I don't remember what the other one was.
13:04 Jang: no spoilers for those who haven’t seen season 13 because in their region there on season 12 Me: in the uk season 11 only finished the other day
That nya figure is my favourite figure for her character. Really nice printing/design. The bad guy printed legs/torso are also really good. Son is looking forward to hte skellies more than anything else in the set.
The dragons from the past few years having similarly built heads kinda reminds me of how they all used to have the same head mold in the first two years of Ninjago
@@AbbeyThoughts They did not When the dragons first came out in the Skeleton, Serpentine and Stone Army Waves The Dragons had the same rubbery bottom jaw piece and there were two rubbery upper jaw pieces One was used the most on the Ice, Lightning and Fire dragons along with 3/4 ultra dragon heads while the second one which was more bulky was used on the Earth Dragon 1/4 heads on the Ultra Dragon and the Golden Dragon
@@AbbeyThoughts ice, fire, and lightning had the same molded heads, earth and the golden dragon shared the same molded head. same goes for the original ultra dragon
Did you guys every notice how ever season since season 10 the main villain had a dragon. The Ice Empire’s dragon, Ungami and his dragon which was himself, and now the Skull Sorcerer’s dragon Grief Bringer.
If anyone sees this over a year after the review, there is an easy way to modify the wings so that you can fold them in with the black printed half facing up, and with no extra pieces required. Just adjust the connection at the ball joint to the technic lift arms by one stud/pin up.
Omg. I have never wanted a LEGO ninjago dragon more than I want that one. I mean, it has so much detail. And the rib cage with the green thing is so cool
This set is just perfect, I always want a skeleton dragon for my skeleton horde, now I will have it. But again, the prices of legos are going higher every years, but this set has a really correct price. I'd like a tuto for the wings.
I got this set snd the skull dungens and i just feel like you get so much more withe the dungen for only 20 bucks but yeah i do like the dragon to but the wings take so much space
you missed a BIG part of the set. the rubber band is also there cuz youre supposed to push down on that new 2020 piece toward the back of the model and the rib cage will open and the transe-green ball will drop out
JANGBRICKS your reviews are Awesome, your very well informed n your description of the sets are always executed in such a "GREAT" way. Keep this Amazing channel going 😁😁😁
The way those gameplay terrain modules look, they look like it could be a Ninjago Roguelike table top with enough ingenuity. Great reviews as always. I'd love to get this dragon and make him look like Sindragosa from Warcraft.
I would have had asked for Jang to include spoilers but after seeing some comments, I like the way how Jang hints things enough to interest casual viewers, great job!
I don't really get many Ninjago sets but I really like Nia so I started collecting all her figs. She almost always has the best looking prints and has a tonne of variety through her history. This is no exception and she definitely looks the coolest of these three. I also love the board game thing they done with this series. Rad.
I've notice LEGO no including as many spares either. It seems to be that they only include one spare per set of each piece, rather than per bag. So a set which has multiple sections which use a stud in a specific colour, for example, will only have a spare of that piece in the first bag and there won't be more spares in the rest of the bags containing that piece. The exception is pieces for shooting weapons which still get multiple spares.
1. Flip the wings 2. Switch the left and right wing around from the long technic pin(so not upside-down) 3. Move stud shooters to top of technic joint holder 4. Move the grey body piece and 2 corner grey pieces further up to body 5. Enjoy full flappable motion.
I’m not a ninjago person but these sets look incredible! Really hoping they use some of these in future Lotr sets and that health bar has Zelda written all over it.
I'm slightly concerned about the number of holes designed into the cloth wings, it feels like it could tear pretty easily. Apart from that this set looks positively fantastic!
Certainly one of, if not the nicest, dragons Lego has made, period. Unique skeleton white color, surely not the new Destiny's Bounty Ferrari red but a staid white and black of the new Lego Speed's Koenigsegg Jesko! Fun, Sturdy and substantial build, good play features such as a spider bomb and dual shootable gun barels, neatly built into the dragon. The dragon also matches perfectly with the larger Dungeon set in both design and color scheme. For Lego dragon lovers, just go ahead and get one while you still can. You won't be disappointed.
This is a must-buy for me. I like dragons, I like skeletons, and I especially like undead skeletal dragons, and was always hoping one would appear as a LEGO set. Not digging the rubber band though...but I guess that'll be easy enough to modify out since the bomb-dropping feature's not necessary for me.
Love Ninjago dragons! Agree with the limitations on those wings. Awkward that they can't be lowered down a little further than what you have shown. Thanks again for the review.
I'm honestly surprised that Lego hasn't done any kind of tabletop game setup before now. It seems like Lego is a medium that lends itself perfectly to that idea.
Excellent review for an excellent set. I think a skeleton dragon is a very high concept for ninjago that I'm surprised they haven't done before. But to me personally, I think they didn't really take the skeleton part of it too seriously. It looks to me like they just slapped a ribcage on a typical ninjago dragon build and called it a skeleton, cause every other part of the Dragon just looks too thick to be truly bony. I was all for getting the set when it was first revelaed, but after noticing these flaws I a actually purchased the Lego ideas dinosaur fossils set to make my own. Overall thought it is still a great playset.
the show depicts this as a large dragon, so making it skinnier would be a bad idea for play value and will definitely not be very sturdy. the only workaround I can see is making it mostly from CCBS to give it a larger bonny feel.
I don’t really have the want or the space for any big Lego dragons but I do need that Skull Sorcerer (for his hat) and every Nya variant because Nya is great.
I really think this is a good set, wish the top of the neck and the head had some of the gray coloring, and the legs seem a bit thick for a skeletal dragon, but otherwise, very solid build.
18:18 Nya doesn't have the stand because one of the minifigures are meant to be in the spinner die, so she can be changed out with Jay or Kai if one desires.
Hey jang, I was wondering if your gonna start reviewing mega construx call of duty sets again. I know the distribution is not the best to say the least, but despite all that they are still releasing sets and they’re pretty good quality.
