It’s crazy how Los Angeles county makes it to where citizens can’t carry firearms but the politicians are somehow allowed to carry even though they don’t live in these dangerous neighborhoods...

My answer to why I need to carry a gun is because carrying a cop is too heavy!

We shouldn’t have to ask permission to exercise our rights !

If you’re interested in a series where I break down the process for each county let me know. I’ll probably skip over the dark green counties since they’re easy.

Unbelievable that we let some government employee to regulate our god given Constitutional right.

Good video!!! Riverside County just changed from light green to dark green. Sheriff Bianco streamlined the process and went from a two year backlog to a matter of weeks. Good luck to everyone out there trying to get one.

Your videos cover all of the essential info, potential variables and questions, in a concise manner, which is much appreciated. I live in Marin county, so I'm not even going to try and get a CCW. There are a lot of great gun RU-vidrs out there but so much stuff out there doesn't apply to Californians, with how strict our laws are and how limited our firearm selection is. Thank you!

Good cause is I'm an American citizen and its MY RIGHT!! Not a privilege but a right. Mindblowing that the state of California and its respective counties has gotten away with such unconstitutional nonsense for so long.

San Diego County, fortunately Sheriff Gore made good on his commitment a couple years ago to relax the "good cause" threshold. Now, our county is enjoying a fairly high approval rate. 😉👍

In WA state - I applied on Dec 31 and received it in the mail on Jan 3.

I love how wanting to protect myself and my family is not considered good cause.

Great video man!! I'm in SR and just sent my application in to Sonoma County Sheriff a month ago and am in the background check stage. You're research and video are super helpful and encouraging. Glad I watched and glad we've got a Sheriff that actually cares about and supports the second amendment.

It's interesting to watch these videos, especially being someone on the outside looking in. I live in Colorado, in a "Shall Issue" county. You take a CCW class, two hours of lecture and a few dozen rounds downrange to show you're capable of pulling a trigger. Then you hand the sheriff 150 bucks and they call you in a few months to tell you it's ready. No reason asked, none required.

I received my CCW permit in San Bernardino County through Sheriff’s Department! They want you to come in and apply! It was not a difficult process at all! Live in the county for one year and be not a criminal!! The Sheriff himself said asked if we knew anyone that needed to apply for to have them go online and apply! Very easy process!!

good video. in Nevada county I listed my reasons as "too old to run or fight and live in a remote area with no public services.". since there were nearly a dozen others getting their first permit when I was there other reasons work as well.

WOW!! Very eye-opening to watch! I live in NC where the only requirements are 1.being of age, 2. not being a convicted felon, and 3. paying the $95 fee to get it. I couldn’t imagine knowing my rights to defend myself and to be able to carry a weapon without everyone being able to see that I had it depended on who I knew and how big of a business I had!!! That is wrong AND unconstitutional!! I can guarantee you the areas in red would have a much lower crime rate if they didn’t stomp on people’s rights!!

Riverside County now has a great process, all on computer now. The background investigator was very through looked hard at my background and very professional.

Awesome video. I'm a real estate photographer in Sonoma County and have thought about applying for a CCW recently. Your video was actually the first one that popped up when I searched it...and you're even in my county! A friend of mine, who is a Sebastopol police officer, basically echoed what you said about our new sheriff being a bit looser with the issuance.

Yup, I lived in San Carlos so I moved back to America, Texas and got a LTC. I too am a photographer. I used to charge extra for east bay gigs. One of my low baller competitor would do the gigs in east bay and one day he lost $1,000s of gear and money as well as the two clients, in the day time in front of school in Oakland, lol. Very well done and great map!

I went applied for an appointment in 2010 i moved to texas in 2013. They called me in 2014 to setup appointment smfh, um little to late

it is a pain but not too bad in the sierra foothills, the county even sent a deputy out on a 2 hour drive to my off grid home to make sure it existed. they didn't have to do that. (Nevada county).

Crazy that constitutional concealed carry is only a state away

I live in San Bernardino county and work in LA county. I got my CCW because where I work in LA is more dangerous than where I live.

I live in Wa, which is a "Shall Issue" state and have had mine for a couple years now. My buddy in California lives in Solano county for the past 10 years and doesn't realize how much easier it is there being he's from San Francisco and pretty much gave up hope of ever being able to carry legally. I'm hoping this video will finally motivate him. I sent him the Solano county C&C application too.Thank you for all you do!

Mendocino County sheriff treats his constituents like adults. As long as you are not a criminal or an idiot you are good go, just be responsible for your actions, and don’t put the community in harm’s way.

The Alameda County sheriff ran unopposed in the last election Sonoma country, is almost dark green, takes less cause than carrying $10k in equipment.

In alameda county they barely give any out unless you are law enforcement or military.....or you donate 10 grand to the sheriffs fund (says so on their website). Basically they try to make it so expensive that only the super rich can protect themselves.

Mainly like what to do when pulled over for traffic, what type of location that don't allow us to carry even if you have CCW, and any other important details pertaining to daily life when you are a CCW carry. As a resident of Santa Barbra county and talking with a few Deputies that I know it is dam near a no go even with a valid (Threat Based) need.

Luckily my county in California is very generous with CCW's I only needed to state it was for protection and they approved it.

I live In Kelseyville up in lake county right above you, I am 23 and I just got approved for mine, now I have to do the 16 hour course. But yeah its super easy here.

It's good to find yet another of the somewhat rare 'Pro Second Amendment/Pro Gun' people here in 'The Sadly Socialist Leaning Sonoma County.' Thanks for the information on acquiring a CCW in Sonoma County, but I was still under the impression that it was still virtually impossible to get one unless you had some political pull...not to mention contributing heavily to certain politicians election coffers...but aside from that it was a given 'NO' to anyone else that applied. Now all I have to do is come up with a valid reason...in the eyes of the Sheriffs Department...to qualify for one.

I live in Ventura County! Been out here for a little over 3 years now. Just recently spoke to a guy who said his brother got his just recently. He said it was easy and quick compared to other areas. So I’ll be going for mine soon! I use to do armed security for a company that does CCW gigs as well. They told me if I was ever able to magically get it (cause I lived in LA County at the time lol) to let them know. So yea lol.. Thanks for the great content as always! Keep it up brotha!
