I bought a powered drivers seat from a 2009 Chevy Tahoe from an upholsterer on eBay, and a 50 amp power supply from Amazon. Mounted all that on a platform made from 24" x 24" x 1.5" thick plywood with 4 wheels from Harbor Freight. I am looking into arms now. Total cost so far is $400. I looked into all the office and gaming chairs and decided on this 6 months ago, wise choice. I have an Oculus Rift and this Tahoe seat is awesome for VR. I enjoy your videos, BTW.

My chair cost £70 a couple years ago. It has a mesh back so you keep cooler, customisable arms, huge amount of padding for your derriere and all the usual chair features. Absolute bargain and the comfiest thing ever. As someone who often did 24hr streams, trust me the chair I got is the bomb

I, too, hate resting my elbows on hard surfaces for hours. Get a large wrist rest (I picked up a cooler master one on a local store) and cut it in half. You can thank me later :D

Unsolicited advice but... here goes. I played the Office Max/Staples "chair bingo" for way to long as well. Those chairs last 1-2 years if you don't mind going from sitting on reasonably comfortable foam to sitting on top of plywood because after about a year that's how they end up. Hard as hell (I am 195lbs person though-- I think you're lighter). @$250-300 a pop, after 3-4 years you've spent $900-1000. So I thought, nothing to lose, get a nice chair. So I bought a Herman Miller Aeron chair as one of the local 'higher end' office places had some to sit it. The arms are adjustable in and out, up and down, the bottom will never feel hard. It has comfortable, adjustable, removable lumbar, etc. Costs about 800-1000 depending on where you get it and if they're having a sale/closeout. I've had this 1 chair going on 11 years now and it is literally the same chair now that I got back then. Well worth the money. You can sit in it 10-12 hours without any soreness issues or discomfort. Great for gaming/programming and long hours in the seat. It doesn't have a head rest so my Vive cables just go right over the back of it land don't get hooked on anything. The back lays way down and seating area is connected and slides out at the same time. Best purchase I've ever made for my computer peripherals hands down. Also has a lifetime warranty which I've not used for anything in 11 years.

Looks like you could replace the arms. Just new armrests need to match the 4 bolt pattern. As an Obutto and VR user, I don't like fixed headrests, so I am looking to get a sporty car seat with a drop-down headrest.

My back deserves better, hence bought a Steelcase Think. Gaming chairs are just cheaply made clones of each other.

These guys must have sent out chairs by the thousands to RU-vidrs, seen so many commercials of these things lately. I’m never buying a chair that looks like a racing seat, no way Jose.

Just heads up, I searched for them on Amazon how you spelled it "E-Win" and it doesn't find them right away. If you remove the hyphen it finds them just fine, and that is how the name is listed on Amazon like "Ewin". Oh and question: What was the old chair you used before?

All these chairs are about the same tbh one might have rounder arms or something than the other or more padding in the cushion (depending on the model) but other than that all of these are the same and the racing seat thing is honestly awful.

Ewin has a F rating by Better Business Bureau. I order and paid for a chair that was never delivered. I was authorized for a refund that was never received. Had to go through my credit card company to force the refund. Don’t buy one.

5:23 Maybe *that* is the chair for me ... I am actually looking for hard plastic armrests since I am going to mount something on them (to put my G13 and stuff on it) my last chair* had fixed round armrests ... a nightmare to mount something on ... lets just say it included a lot of washers extra screws and a lot of wood... now slowly falls apart*² *= A cheap one (~50€), now several dozens years old. *²= The padding is worn out so that I added extra cushions for me to sit on, cylinder is broken and fixed in height by a piece of metal, back rest didn't wanted to stay up (was sliding down even if tighten up as much as possible) got fixed in height by a nut and bolt (mainly bolt the nuts only prevents the bolt from moving) ... has also the advantage that the back rest now is higher than ever before, which comes in handy because the extra cushions raise my seat position.

Just ordered one ... You call it expensive ... I call it reasonable ... I was the whole time (and a long time ... more than a year actually) looking for a new chair (see last post) but all chairs I looked at had issues ... mostly inferior build quality (costumer reviews said they were falling apart after about half a year or sooner ... if not delivered used or refurbished or outright broken ... and NEW items were ordered)... and that in the 350€ [~420$] range ... or the issue was the price ~600€+ [~720$] I ordered one in a different color scheme (and as far as I can tell that is the only difference ... aside from price) and with your voucher I "only" payed 222.46€ (260.39$). Expensive enough compared to my last one ... -cheap- worth the price compared to my other options. Last thing I hope is that I can replace the wheels easily ... since I need one with brakes (useful if and when you try to use pedals)
