Like food, customer service can be subjective too. Some people have a higher tolerance towards the "not so friendly" attitude from the store owners because they don't really mind at all. While some people are more easily offended and feel like they should be treated with smiles and welcoming attitude. For me, as long as the owner doesn't scold me for no reason, I'm fine with any type of customer service lol 😅😆🤣

I always order the $5! I wear my hospital uniform and order 😅. She gives me her latest health update every time. She pretty much says the same thing to me everytime haha.

I am from Canada and we are not known for the best customer service per se. Yet I still find the 1st and 3rd vendors to be unbearable and dismissive. After all, people vote with their money. In Singapore, there are many great options for food, I wonder why anyone bother patronizing their establishments. Anyhow, good video. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I'm also from Canada and I found 1 to be ok, maybe I've been here so long that I've been groomed to be ok with this kind of service lol. 3rd is a no for me 100%. Kudos to gary for being so forthcoming and nice though, some people could react defensively and that's why bad experiences happen from both ends haha

My first encounter with the prawn mee stall. ordered the dry version, wanted more chilli, first thing the auntie commented, "Xiao Di ah..eat so much chilli, later u lao sai then u know." In the end, there wasn't much chilli given..she really dictate wat/how she wants u to eat lol

Good episode 👍👍. Basically I ate a few times at the XO Fish Noodles when it was near Holland Drive I think. But I usually ordered the San Lau and Fish Beehoon... sometimes Har Cheong Kai ....the food is good but sometimes the owner uncle and aunty can be cranky and rude. Coz the food is good I give them a pass.🙄🤣🤣.

Food is amaze balls, who cares about service! Want service go to eat michelin tire restaurant. Fiie cafe is IMO damn nice, although the brudder damn fierce. Good rec, hope q doesnt get longer!!!

wow, enjoyed this video. it must be nerve-wracking to do. tbh, i don't expect sellers to be all smiley but what i cannot stand is skimpers, dishonest & greedy ones. stall no. 1 is a bad example, man. wonder why she has to be like that. if it's on the menu, serve it. if not, just remove and only advertise your expensive bowls.

We all should be compassionate towards all hawker ctr. uncles & aunties who slave away daily for very,very long hours....No aircon...or decent end of year hols. Walk a mile in their shoes...Would you like your mum/dad/relatives working away daily for 10 or more hours...standing only !!!!!!! Please be kind...Those who want servoce, visit your up market restaurants where you pay much higher prices and GST & Service charge.....Criticising is easy....Try doing what these hard working aunties/uncles try their best to earn a crust...Some of them are probably same age as your grandparents......Om Mani Padme Hum

EXACTLY . Must hide at one corner . Cant let them know there are filming crews around and the one ordering cannot be seen mixing with the crews .

To be fair even fastfood do upselling like when they prompt you whether you want to upsize, or add this or that. It's normal la, just how aggressive you want to be about it that might get intrusive

Anyway this is a good series ! Enjoyed it. Granted customers are not always rights but at the very least they should not be expected to be treated as an emperor and at the same time not to be treated like a dog ! Seriously, up sell still can tolerate because everyone is profit seeking. Second uncle, also not too bad . He explains carefully that he is not a zi char stall. Third one , ATROCIOUS!!! Trying to intimidate ppl ah? Treating ppl like dog.
