Good for Nothing | Mark Fisher | Audiobook 

This is still one of my favourite essays. While Fisher is generally a good writer, a lot of his commentary is very opaque to me because it's either localised in UK politics or cites philosophers who I've never read. By contrast, this piece is direct, personal and brutally blunt. It succinctly captures the constant, passive self-loathing you feel when depressed, and how that self-loathing is so often tied to not being "productive enough" under capitalism. I wish he was still with us today.
