This is my first video shot on my new, more manual camera rig. I personally like how much more thoughtful it made me about the shots I took for this video and how it turned out! I learned a lot about framing and focus control at the event, and even more in the edit. If you've been watching my videos for a while how do you like this one compared to other meetup videos of mine?
Thanks for doing these recaps. Also, I am a fan of the hand-held look over gimbals. They add a touch of character to the shots. (If that's what you meant by your manual rig).
Glad to hear that from you! I also like them better. No gimbal before, but handheld with an autofocus zoom lens. Still autofocus, but now I'm manually pulling focus on a prime lens.
