Thanks for the free fencing advice! I've definitely recognized the footwork issues you've pointed out, been trying to improve on them through training epee (since I live away from my clubs now) and that's helped a bit. As to my terrible lunges in the video, no excuse, definitely I know better lol Once I'm done with my thesis and can train again later in the summer I'll be taking this advice to heart.
@@HEMA_Fight_Breakdowns nah not mean. It's too clear about exactly what the issues are to be mean, imo. I've done some similar things to red fencer, and the exact technical description of the problem helps a lot!
I have been there last year. After an injury from a grapple a few years back I was for a vefy long time scared to commit. Took quite a few plastron sessions to get it out. I recommend to learn a proper flechè. It's scary at first, but uf you want to learn commtiment it's prizeless. As well as the feeling of landing one.
I had fenced him as well at this tournament. I struggled a lot versus his fencing style. Only managing to score a couple of hand snipes after baiting his thrust in. I like the Kron parry into a Zwer. I'll have to give that a try!
