Hey Dennis, It would be great if you could make a video about treating a rehearsal room where the position of drums, guitars, and people change frequently, and people are moving around. How should an 8m by 6m by 2.5m room be treated to achieve evenly distributed sound throughout the space? Thanks alot, and keep on doing this great educational content on RU-vid!

Energy source positioning in rooms depends on many factors. The frequency of energy produced by the source, the room size and overall volume, the amplitude or strength of said energy, the amount of treatment in the room to mange both pressure and reflections, just to name a few. There are no one size fits all solutions.

I'm not looking for a perfect solution. I'm looking for a general-purpose treatment. There are different musicians with different instruments and even DJs in this room. I just want some rules of thumb to make the room sound okay so everyone can hear each other and it sounds alive, not dead like most rooms. Most rooms I know just cover everything with Fibeolith, and that's it. Thanks for you fast reply.

@@Pleusch I will need much more data to assist you. Fill out the information in this link and schedule a time slot to go over your room and its usage. Covering large surface areas with building insulation type material will not provide the proper rate and level of absorption for music and voice. Building insulation destroys harmonics. www.acousticfields.com/free-room-analysis/
