I was born one year after Jurassic Park came out and saw the movie on VHS as a very small baby. So to be honest I still see Sam Neil as Alan Grant. It's just how it is.

I'm astonished at how many actors can pull off convincing American accents when they were raised elsewhere. It convinced this Nashvillian anyway. I had always assumed he is American. :-O And maybe that he was just putting on a British accent for "Ivanhoe." Well, I was at least right about the latter, but not in the way I thought.

You can hear his New Zealand accent in a few different scenes in his vowel sounds. Otherwise he's not as bad as Sam Worthington who doesn't even try.

Just finished watching Jurassic Park brings back so much memories when I was a kid at the movies I was telling my 10 year old daughter how much I enjoyed this movie when I was her age

My parents used to own Jurassic park on vhs. Love every minute of it. Sam Neill is brilliant. Currently own the first three films on blu ray.

I love Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant. I think he presents that character perfectly, but have you seen him play Dean Spanley? So playful and imaginative ... Fun!
