This is a series where I casually go over what’s going on in my life here as an expat in Saigon, Vietnam. In this particular episode, my American dad visits Saigon and we go to rent motorbikes from my friend Bao!

There’s really not much of a plan to these videos, but hopefully they are entertaining and give you a bit more of an insight of what life is like here as an American living in Ho Chi Minh City.

Tell your dad to stay longer in VN . Make him visit Danang , Hoi An , Hue , Phong Nha -Ke Bang , Sapa , Ninh Binh , Ha Long bay and Sapa as well .

if Bill wants to find chil beach area to relax, tell him check out Mui Ne, not far from Vung Tau, 2-3 hours drive, nice clean beaches , 4 star resorts only 1-1.3mil dong. super cheap price , less crowds than Vung Tau

He is from Torrance, has nice beaches but just colder compare to the beaches anywhere in Vietnam. Nha Trang or DaNang may be comparable but not VungTau. For the bike riding experience it's great idea because we don't have something like this happening in the U.S. And I don't think he is here for the beaches. The time is kindda short too but whatever the plans are hope they both enjoy it.

When it comes to eating, could I suggest Quan Ngon on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, I usually take my family there when had a chance to visit SG because it has a little bit of everything in one place, save the time and it has many good choices. It's not cheap compare to street vendors but it will take care any hungry foreign visitor easier. Get a good driver and drive your dad around SG from D1 to D12 especially see the night life in SG will be a cool thing to enjoy SG while he is there. Give him a paper map so he knows where he is about in SG. There is no place like SG in that kind of night life. Crazy but fun if you dare to step out of your comfort zone lol.

Good afternoon Mr TYLEr, Renting a honda AiR BLADE 160 cc and using it for the next four weeks (in Sài gòn) onLy cost you 1.5 MiLLion Vietnamese DONG. Bão gives you a very REASONABLE price. Your father Looks very healthy. If your father did not tell us the viewers that he's only 58, I would have thought that your father is onLy 46 years old. Mr TyLer, PLease make a video in which you invite your father to a Vietnamese restaurant and teLL your viewers what your father tninks about Vietnamese food.
