Right there next to Bill Monroe. Ricky Skaggs is a worthy son of Bluegrass, too.

There is no doubt Jimmy Martin is the king of bluegrass music.I mean he played and sang for monroe. All the people at the Opry thought they were related. They’re voices went perfectly together. But Bill wanted the boys to come and work on his farm In the music down season.Jimmy Martin wasn’t having that.Well what king would lol

Good lord Bear Tracks 5:42 is the best gotdang banjo instrumental track I've discovered in a couple years. At this point I think I've listened to it like 16 times in a row this morning. It doesn't sound anything like Reno or Scruggs. Thanks for you channel, brother

Country is what I wanted, country is what I got. Seriously country. Half way into the album it becomes clear that this is a country album. If you like country music you will hate this.

This is the second upload of this great album. The previous upload contained A-5 Grand Ole Opry Song that had been taken from the NGDB's Circle album. The track was replaced with the one studio recorded. Hopefully, this replacement would make the current upload sound more like the original album. Thank you, salus60, for reminding me of this failure. :-) Take

Its really hard to descibe the Martin mystique. As jumpy and as confrontory as it was. At other times he was pleasant.
