Wanted to thank you for posting these several really good bits of this episode, loved seeing Adam doing the singing bits and the Couch, it really made my night. :)
@joshsutt I agree, Hillsy is brilliant! But I had no idea he was underappreciated or people thought he was lame (no pun intended). I thought everyone found him as hilarious and smart as I do. But I fully agree with you. He is a legend!
@Judgement2029 Practically none of the jokes on GNW are set up beforehand, with the exception of the main hosts' news-story puns/jabs. Good News Week is actually that relaxed of a TV show, that the participants can do pretty much anything they like so long as it doesn't COMPLETELY disrupt the show. And then there's the Ross Noble episodes....
@TheLastLeg Check out the 8.08 mark. Hills was asked "what will you be doing when your boyish good looks fade", and he answered "host a topical News Quiz Show. This was 14 years ago. His claims came true :) .
@NomiDestro While that's true for most of the show, for the 'on the couch' segment participants have to option of seeing the word associations before hand, and the words themselves are geared toward each individual. I’m not saying that everyone, or even Hilly, takes that rout but it is a possibility.
@sazzysoultv Funniest part was that stripper music was from a phone owned by member of the audience. After the show, totally got autograph and two photos of me and Adam Hills!
"what will you do when your boyish good looks fade??" "host a topical news quiz show" even now, several weeks after first seeing this it keeps making me laugh at inappropriate moment
@JELLJELL1111 There really isn't an objective in this comedy quiz show seeing that the host (the guy asking the questions) will randomly add and subtract points from either team just for fun. But the topics and questions within the show relate around current events. It's more of a comedy show than a quiz show :)
@joshsutt people think loud, rude, stupid comedians who never really say anything intelligent (arj barker, for example) these days, and the intelligent ones who say things that you'll be able to laugh at for the rest of your life like adam hills get overlooked.
So people excuse cripples no matter who they are, whether Macartneys wife or Adam Hills. That's the Aussie underdog way. Still he does tell good jokes to make up for the fact that Aussies would love any cripple who tries.
