(a remake of this vid with chase level 5 is coming soon) glad to say i can remove the old pinned comment that talks about dl2's "demise". the games already in a better state thanks to techland :)
Something pretty Ironic about the DL lovers is that they were comparing an unfinished game with one that was completely finished. The hypocrisy was truly rising.
nights in dying light 2 are fun because you can parkour around while getting chased by volatiles. nights in dying light 1 are terrifying because of the dark ambience and the volatiles design
I love the escalation between each chase level Level 1: They’re after you, better start running Level 2: Oh dear… ohhhh dear- things are getting baaad… Level 3: Run? Run… Run! Level 4: RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
Had to come back again after FINALLY making it to Legend Rank 250. This OST will now forever haunt me, I will never forget all the Runners that have knocked me down and all the Volatiles that have tried to bite my face off while they lunged at me.
Thanks! Goofing off seems reasonable haha although if you do try and level up legend careful doing challenges cause if you die in those you still lose xp, I learned that the hard way me and my friend thought you dont lose anything turns out we were dead wrong, you also lose a lot more points if you are higher than Level 100.@@LisssardManN
howlers are actually useful, the night is harder and now volatiles chase you, which make your life harder, howlers scream at you to give you confidence to continue the chase, how nice are them now.
@@ALI3NPROFESS0R i mean im joke about how howlers useless now, before howlers start chase, but now roaming volatiles does that instead and devs also make howlers rarer by reduced their spawn which make them more like a funny looking zombie on the road that roar for fun.
@@hoanghung5542i think howlers should still start chases but only have virals in the first two levels and then volatiles for the next like how it used to be and then of course keep volatile chases exactly how they are
Ubisoft: On our major update, we need a new UI and fix some bug that we sure will happen again. Just change it a bit. Techland: On our small update, we need to fix the bug where some players encounter for the UI. Instead of fixing it, we get rid of it and remix the UI and soundtrack.
I really love the build up chase 1 2 and 3 builds up for level 4.. and then hearing the roaring from every infected creating a horde right behind you because they’re all chasing you, from every corner of the city..
I finished dying light 2, after that i finished dying light 1 with a friend. The update for dying light 2 is pretty amazing, since i played it before the update, i gotta consider this.
I loved the one we had before. But this.... it has that stylized theme we had before, but adds the horror the first game had. That desperate feel that you NEED to run.
@@cavalo8175I think Dying Light 1 chase theme is about horror/despair and Dying Light 2 is about adrenaline/action. The two chase themes fits the games perfectly
@@LisssardManNyes it is, but I was so pissed off because I was running for 7 minutes on level 5, was about to make it to the bazaar, BUT these damn volatile tyrants jumped on me and killed me.
Not gonna lie, this updated chase music works better than the previous ones. With the added false instruments playing in the overall number, it not only makes more energetic but off-putting (which is great for intensity when being chased through the night). I don't mean to be a know-it-all, I'm just a music nerd 😂😂😂
I can totally hear it, lots of little sounds that seems like modernized versions of them, Phase 2 actually has a lot of similarities to the first boss fight, like A LOT.
Level 1: sh- I gotta get away. Level 2: Agh my body hurts from running. Level 3. Get off me! Level 4: *Tackled off a 5 story building* Wait no no no NO SH
Very good soundtracks but I think that dying light 1 was more creepy because the volatiles was there from the beginning. They were hiding behind every corner to get you 💀💀☠️☠️
Bro when it hits to level four my best friends have never seen me so quiet and they have never been so quiet for me with the amount of movement now you have to do and the music is now all the way up and when we play together everyone literally shuts up bro it’s an actual good fix all they have to do is fix some of the bugs now and boom better game
I love the total remix of the chase ost. The original gave off more of a "I gotta book it" vibe. The new music gives off a "I gotta get the hell outta here or I'm gonna be torn to pieces!" vibe. Can now say the new chase music is better than DL1's chase theme. Here's how i ranked old and new themes: Old Themes: 1. Level 2 (Actually pretty good) 2. Level 1 (Not too bad, but can get annoying after a while) 3. Level 3 (It's pretty mid) 4. Level 4 (Boring and incredibly repetitive) New Themes: 1. Level 4 (Absolute banger) 2. Level 1 (Incredibly ominous and sets the mood perfectly) 3. Level 3 (The light "choir" is really nice) 4. Level 2 (Not as good as it used to be unfortunately)
the new themes definitely add desperation to the chase than before the update, where aiden was just casually running around in a chase level 4 without even seeming scared now with the camera bob and the new music, its like aidens actually terrified and trying to run for his life
The new themes definitely feel like you're being hunted at every second, and the fact that the volatiles are practically relentless in their chases, combining the other fact that you have to parkour at every second, and going through the streets it's practically suicide, elevate the new themes to a whole other level
I thought the volatiles screams were part of the song. Their scream when the chase gets more intense it's like their are warning their are getting more violent
idk if its just me but the chase theme from the first game felt centered fully around crane and his feeling of rush , urgency to gtfo there. Compare that to this chase theme and i feel during the level 4, that piece of music is very creepy and gives of the feeling of sheer malice and hatred the volatiles have for noninfected. I really wish techland delved more into the volatiles in the new game , they had such a good opportunity , explore stuff like volatile hierarchies, maybe even have them evolving in more intelligent ways...oh well
I hope they are doing something like that for upcoming DLC they said it would be centered around infected and a little more horror focused. The hierarchies system would be a cool addition even to the base game with alphas and hunters and so on with hoards of these packs roaming the streets at night
yeah im remaking this vid soon with chase level 5, it's a sped up version of chase level 4 but it feels like a placeholder so I might have to make yet another version if they do eventually change it tho
Personally, I'm not a fan of the Level 4 chase theme. It just feel too different from the other three levels, too action-y, especially compared to the sheer horror that Level 3 portrayed. I was hoping Level 4 would only expand on that.
im guessing that they made it like that because at that point if you were getting chased for that long adrenaline would definitely be all the way up and you wouldn't even be focused on being scared, only running to a safe house
я считаю что нет, так как этот оркестр в первой части звучит как не напряжно и по человечески, а вот во второй части он динамичный и прям подходит под суть зомби он такой безобразный и жуткий, в первой части саундтрек во время погони сосет@@LisssardManN
