Fun fact: Michael made David do the ‘I was wrong’ dance several times, telling him they were filming. Really, he just wanted to see him do it again so he could hold up a scorecard. They’re brilliant actors and breathed so much life into these characters. I’m in love. ❤
@@olliem.3012It's on RU-vid. I don't remember the name but look up smth like "Good omens I was wrong dance seven bloopers" and you'll find it for sure :)
I'm not sure if it's actually proven but I've heard that people that spend years in proximity can tend to change their physical appearance to one that resembles the other, which is why you can see some old couples that kinda look like they just go together, or some people and their close pets end up looking similar. I assume that's what mightve happened with Ty, especially since he was so young when he was adopted
I knew Job was being played by the 5th Doctor himself, but I had no idea he was David's father in law, and that the boy was David's son. That's awesome.
He is the father of David's wife and David met his wife when she was playing the doctor's daughter in series 4 of New Who (she played Jenny on the episode "The Doctor's Daughter"), so she is twice the doctor's daughter and the doctor's wife at the same time.
There's an interview where David was struggling to find a word that describe Aziraphel and Crowley. After struggling for a few seconds, he finally gave up and said "couple"😂.
If you are an aspiring actor, and you're under the same roof as the one of the most versatile actors of our time, you are bound to pick up a thing or two.
@@janeanjorgensen8408 I understand Ty Tennant (nee Ty Martin-Moffett) was a very young but massive Doctor Who fan before Georgia and David got together - and the fact that Ty chose to have the surname Tennant for his acting career is surely a lovely sign of how well the pair get on together. A great example of how love in a family can transcend any boundaries.
I knew the Aziraphale eating for the first time scene would have been a funny one to play lmao also, now I Really want to see the time when Aziraphale got drunk for the first time in s3
@@alectricblue Maybe because it's Aziraphale's first time being drunk he isn't sure how to sober up (like he and Crowley do in s1) so he's a complete mess, the saddest drunk friend you can think of. And when Crowley's had enough he takes Aziraphale's hand and "absorbs" all the alcohol from Aziraphale, making him clear minded again! But Aziraphale is like, Are you DRUNK Crowley?? having not remembered ANYTHING and Crowley yells™ YOU WERE DRUNK FIRST ANGEL!!! and passes out. Please I need this. 🙏
So we got David’s father in law playing the dad of David’s son And in doctor who, David plays the doctor and his irl wife plays his daughter and the doctors daughter (David’s wife) is also the irl daughter of the doctor (Peter Davison) what the fuck
@@darry.4387 why? actors being actors. Peter davison and ty tennant are actors too. Why would they not do their job? Besides, they auditioned. Meaning, they were the best for the role. David didnt even know either one of them had even tried to audition
I was pleasantly surprised by this. And his son and father in law did an excellent job. I gotta say too if Ty can sing, then I could see him playing Riff Raff in a production of Rocky Horror. His delivery of his lines and look would be perfect.
@@mariannebrandon8891That sounds perfect actually! He's not afraid to make himself look bad for roles, his line delivery matches Richard O'Brien's and has the comedic timing for it. Idk about his vocals but with some training I'm sure he can pull it off
I honestly just realised that it was Peter Davidson who was playing Job. That is so funny!!! Ty was playing the child of his grandfather, god that family is full of actors isnt it XD
@@aziraphales_bookshop on each episode there is an x ray function, when clicked it will take you to a menu where you can find the specific bonus content for that episode
I absolutely loved the costumes, and Crowley's outfits in any given era were breathtaking. So thank you Kate Carin, you are a true artist! And the hairstyles too, that long hair from late 80s/early 90s looked sooo gorgeous on David in S1
UGH. Wow they did a really good job because I thought it was a real place. I am planning a trip to the UK in a few years and I had wanted to see that beach. Oh well lol
I can't believe I didn't recognise Peter Davidson as Job! No wonder even David didn't recognise him when he was in costume. That's so cool that he had his father-in-law and son in this episode! I always loved how cute and funny it is that David was such a huge fan of Peter in Doctor Who growing up and then he ended up not only playing the Doctor himself but marrying Peter's daughter Georgie whom he ALSO met on Doctor Who! Haha. A literal fanboy dream come true haha. And now they get to act together like this and he can bring his son in too! So cute!
David's father-in-law and David's son are playing father and son... is that kinda like how the Doctor's daughter played the Doctor's daughter before marrying the Doctor? (Had to, sorry.)
John Finnemore co-writing the screenplay! Glad that Gaiman acknowledges him. It’s a pity though, that the rest of the cast don’t seem to do the same. Finnemore is a fine writer.
Yes, like others have said below: Cabin Pressure, also the John Finnemore Souvenir Programme, It’s hilarious. That Mitchell and Webb sound, with Robert Webb and David Mitchell. Dead Ringers, the Unbelievable Truth. He’s have appearances in most of the BBC radio comedy panel shows. Lately has worked with Armando Iannuci.
@@Sentientmatter8 I think you can find Cabin Pressure here somewhere (he's playing Arthur, B. Cumberbatch is the Captain of the airline). Or check official places for audiobooks. I've listened to all episodes MANY times and they are funnier every time I swear. He's written for many more radio dramas and TV things.
@@lexicon1913 I didn’t include them because they aren’t actors, however originally I did add them, then I realized about that. They’ve got an amazingly talented family nonetheless, wouldn’t be surprised if they took their mom, dads, brother, and grandfathers foot steps! Also Sound of Music 😂, true
He’s a sexy man indeed. I swear since GO I’ve developed the biggest crush on him. I really wish I could see his stage work but I don’t live in the UK and that’s where he primarily does theater. I wish he could do something in the states.
Maybe not a good idea, considering what happened the last time he was on the show. (For those not in the know, Sheen was the voice of House in "The Doctor's Wife" - an episode of Doctor Who also written by Neil Gaiman. Huh.)
Why did it just occured to me JUST NOW that it was Peter Davidson in this episode, the 5th doctor and father in law of 10th Doctor David Tennant... also David's son as well 😂
I'm listening to the rerecording of the Audiobook that Michael and David did and thought that Adam sounded a lot like David when he was the doctor. I looked up the actor and it's Georgia's brother/Peter's son!
I recognized his son immediatly an was like: "Oh look, it's the 10th Doctors son Aegon Targaryen. Wait Job looks kind of familiar to... Where did I see that actor?" I'm kind of getting the feeling, that wil will look on this in 30 years like: "Oh look, the 5th, the 10th, the 14th and the umpteenth Doctor in one shot, before he became the Doctor." Would be awesome to have Micheal Sheen in the 60th Doctor Who Anniversary Special as a bookshop keeper who becomes a Weeping Angel in the end. 🤣
ok as an old doctor who bunny i recognized peter right away. I only found out about Ty thanks to a few spoilers. But I find him very good. ^^ Maybe as The Doctor because of the "family tradition"? 😉So in the distant future.
My father, grandfather, cousin, wife's ex-husband, niece, nephew, third-half-daughter thrice removed, father-in-law, father-in-law's tennis partners, great grandfather shot multiple times and blown to bits at Pashendale not to mention their various pets, dogs, cats, goldfish, hyenas, etc..all worked in British TV at some point and I can assure you that none of them ever encountered nepotism in any way shape or form and if they did it bought them a drink and said "cheers big ears😅"
thing is, Job isn't set in the Holy land. It's actually set in the land of Uz. (where that actually is, is unclear but it's probably somewhere in the Levant. interestingly enough, in the 20th century translation to Hebrew of "the wizard of Oz" the translator chose to translate Oz as the same name as Uz. the translator of "Rumpelstiltskin" also chose to set the story in the land of Uz
Something I like was that this mini ep showed that Crowley's: "I'm a DEMON Im not NICE! Fear me I'll kill them" work the first few times before Aziraphale stopped buying it. It scares him the first time this ep then Crowley Never. follows. through. lol
@@Nonightingalesforyou could be, thing is I never heard of them before. Even though am also European. I also don't know a movie they played in. Just here in Good Omens
when actors have to do a lot of takes where they eat you don't want to actually eat the food. mostly because you'll feel sick after a while from eating so much and second because eating the same thing for such a long time gets boring! hope that helps
Wait...where is the condescending overly drawn out explanation of how a couple of grips lifting up a table then droping it can be used in camera to make it appear as if a table of beef has been manifested? 🙄😒
