Good Samaritan Rushes to Help Jogger Who Was Assaulted 

Yall. Stop releasing repeat offenders without bail.

The fact that everyone else just walked/ran right past her is so disturbing and extremely sad. It’s sickening really.

This is what happens when you treat criminals like victims. Criminals in new York know they can do literally anything they want, as there's absolutely zero punishment

Yeah that is a failure of the justice system.

Some people probably walked by because they didn’t care but I’m sure other people walked by because they probably thought she was an addict or some homeless person or something because in the city they’re pretty easy to run into and nowadays when you try to help people sometimes you’ll get shot or stabbed because they were faking it so they could rob you.

Unbelievable if you're a human being then you know how to ask another person for help that your going to stop some bad situation that is happening to a person it's not like you go help alone your a community that's a duty to protect one another

I really think more people should’ve at least called the police for her rather than ignoring a person who’s bleeding.

I'm not surprised people walked past her. I've seen that over and over and over about people in the states. Happens on the roads too. A shocking accident happens right in front of someone and they put down their accelerator and drive on by. Maybe it's because there is so much violence, death and mayhem daily, many have disconnected and lost their humanity. But it's very sad. Btw I'm Australian, and would like to think we as a culture, haven't reached that level of disconnect......yet. Wishing and hoping the victim gets the support she needs to heal, physically and mentally.And well done to this young lady, who did what was needed in the moment, and acted with selfless love towards a stranger in need. I also have an experience to be attacked by a stranger in the middle of street during a day. One samaritan like her helped me out, calling the police, waiting with me, and explaining to the police instead of me. and he even came back after he picked up his kid at school. I really appreciate him and believe the god bless him and his family whole life!!

We came to a time where asking people if they need help leads to problems. I have had not one but many cases. Once I tried to help a woman carry some bags, she screamed at me and said I should mind my business. Once I met a woman on the street where her car was broken. I was with my bike. She went in her car and said to me I have the spray so don't come any closer. All I said is if she needs any help. I then moved a bit away and told her that I will inform the Police when I am in the city. I mean at that location there was no signal and cars were not going that way that often. So yes, the society we have created, even when someone is dying we just look at them. Kind of reminds me like animal kingdom.

Gladly she was there to help the victim. Proud of her. Be well and stay safe from jogging.

To be honest, the people that walked by and ignored her probably thought she was homeless and/or on drugs. People tend to avoid contact with both groups of people like the plague, for better or worse. I'm really socially awkward, so I certainly would have done the same unless I thought the person actually needed immediate help.
