Absolutely superb..! ( Super, wunderbar ) Every pilots dream is to fly your route, green fields, Lakes and castles, TO and Landing at a grass strip..! What a beautiful and historic part of Germany you toured/videoed for us..! And so here I was thinking I was living the dream , building and flying my RV4 in Esperance Western Australia ..! Skyrunner, you have raised the bar sir, well done. Excellent editing and producing a sumptuous flying video..! Danke..!
So great to see D-EIGT again! Thanks for sharing this. I've seen a few German castles; Nanstein, Heidelberg, Linderhof. I'd love to return someday. I'm doing my first engine start in my RV-8 this week. I'm hoping it will be flying by the end of March.
I'm sitting here waiting for my RV-8 empennage kit to arrive today. I am going to use your fantastic videos as a source for motivation while building mine. I'm really jealous right now.
@BuildTheFutureYouWant I would say I am doing pretty good so far. It's a little slow as I'm still trying to find the balance between building, life stuff and continually having to buy tools even after getting everything on these "lists". I am hoping to start speeding up in the near future and making real progress. I'm definitely going faster building than I am able to earn the $130k+ this is going to cost me. LOL
@BuildTheFutureYouWant The first thing I learned is that RV builders just don't sell their tools. I do have some RV guys that have loaned me some tools though. It's nice because it motivates me to get the task done so I can return them as soon as possible. lol
Great video! And a very stunning RV8. Very good job! Is any possible to fly in at your local airport for a coffee and a talk? I would fly from Switzerland. So it would be a nice day trip.
@@bibrakc Correct from Emag. It is possible to change timing during flight for example with the Electronic Ignition Commander one at a time. I never had the courage to do it in flight and always preferred doing it on the ground.
@@skyrunner1818 yes, so asking this because if one has to go to places where 100LL is not available then it will be possible to have the fuel diversity by fueling mogas and changing the timing (on ground).
