I was stationed there twice. I don't even want to visit the place. I think only those who don't know any different willingly want to live there. People stay with the devil they know than go with the angel they don't.
I moved to Dallas from St Paul MN and got the F out after like 7 months. That heat is quite literally unbearable. It's absolutely insane and it's only getting worse. Traffic absolutely miserable. So over populated. I'll take the winters we get I guess... Sigh
as a texan myself, texas is not built for weather at all, pipes freeze and burst, and if you dont live in a good enough area where the power lines arent underground then every (decent) storm the power goes out
Same with everywhere in the state of Florida. A small rain shower and the power goes out, not to mention a few days of rain and the half the state floods
As a New Yorker who lived in Texas for a few years between 2017-2019, I can’t begin to explain how much this video resonates with me in terms of the reasons I’m happy to have not stayed down south
1:17 You are SO right about that! TX rarely gets snow other than maybe the Panhandle area, but not many other places do. So, we often don't prepare for snow like most northern states have to every winter.
It's funny. He moved to Texas but honestly the worst part to live in. The Concrete cities. My man could have been in the valley, or by the coast or eastern half. Idk about the rest as much but ik there are some underrated placed out west. Some cities are actually liveable shlark just bit the tough end of the stick tbh
@@therailfanningskeleton359the whole point of moving to texas was to be with the OTK crowd and everyone else in the austin area. going out far from those in texas, whilst perhaps better in the regards you’re mentioning, kinda just fails at the whole reason he’s there in the first place.
I regret to inform you all that it is highly likely this is a bot account that copy-pasted another persons comment and then botted the likes to get seen more.
YOU CANT PLAY WITH MY EMOTIONS LIKE THIS 😭 I GENUINELY THOUGHT YOU WERE QUITTING PLS NEVER LEAVE. I can't name all the times that I felt depressed and turned on some jschlatt and felt better. Thank you so much man. 🦅🦅
Schlatt is gonna move back to New York and have to be like little Jonny with his galvanized square steel and eco friendly wood veneer. Oh, and don’t forget the screws borrowed from his aunt too
Austin definitely seems like the up and coming city in Texas for tech and youngsters in general. But I have heard the more conservative politicians/ governor of Texas tends to impose conditions that make it annoying to live with if you lean left, or just to punish the Austin area because the left leaning politicians just happen to control it or parts of it. Not trying to say LIBS BASED CONSERVATIVES CRINGE or CONSERVATIVES BASED LIBS CRINGE but rather just note the political games being played can be problematic for the average lay person whether they are the most ardent liberal living in a conservative governed state or the most apathetic apolitical person. They are at the whims of the political games played by both parties. Then again, it seems like schlatt’s issues were more to do with not liking the environment, maybe being homesick?, and the weather? Not sure how the snow factors in since NY gets lots of snow too haha. But between LA and NY I would definitely do NY and I’m from Long Island - so you know I ain’t a city boy haha. And it feels like NYC is the opposite problem of TX/Austin, you get the political games of a liberal dominated state/city opposed to conservative. At least NYC will have better public transit, though I’ve heard good things about Austin too. Maybe Schlatt can get that galvanized square steel frame to extend whatever apartment he moving into.
Dawg I literally just found you yesterday and I thought you were a funny interesting RU-vidr that makes interesting content and I thought wait what this can't be real this guy is leaving RU-vid as soon as I found him damn but thankfully ur not quitting RU-vid you gave me a scare bro
Exactly how I felt about living in Austin, it’s so validating to see someone out there who felt the exact same way. I think being from a city in the north specifically sets you up to not enjoy Texas.
The fact that “John shallout” is closer to me again is scary. Not that I live in America, but him being in New York means he is technically closer to me since I live in Portugal
“shlakage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.” never paid his taxes, ever since what happened in 99
bro i swear i scrolled down to check the date sense i havent been on the internet in a while and forgot the date and "this is not clickbait" almost got me
Everyone looked at TX income tax as some brand new golden egg... Then they learned the grass isn't always greener... Nowhere is perfect, you find what headaches you can happily deal with and settle in. Have a good move!
fun fact about that hail storm in 90 degree weather that schlatt talked about: about 12 hours after that, we had a tornado and flash flood over here in dallas. I Love This State!
As a Texan. I agree. There's a ton of opportunity, easy to get jobs here. but oh my god are we always unprepared. nothing ever changes, every fucking year. We literally got tornado warnings four days in a row.
Hearing how Texas handles their weather emergencies and how future weather will be especially with heat, it is just disaster after disaster waiting to happen.
At least the midwest is safe! From schlatt. I rather get snowed in, deal with tornadoes, flooding, and blizzards than have the man who witnessed [REDACTED] during 1999 in the same area as me. Stay safe fellas
I took a vacation and met friends in texas a few years ago. I will never willingly set foot in that hellscape again. The air is dry and crispy, the sun is murderous, and the driving is CRAZY. When I left ohio, I was wearing a somewhat thick jacket because it had just started to snow here. I board my plane in PA, 3 hours pass, I land in texas, and the INSTANT I step out of the airport I begin to sweat. I check the weather in dallas, its fucking 89 degrees in the middle of whats supposed to be late fall and early winter. Never again
